ALL PARENTS NEED TO WATCH THIS
Kunle sat in the dimly lit living room, staring at the clock on the wall. His fingers tapped impatiently on the arm of his chair. Ada, his wife, still hadn’t returned home from work, leaving him alone with their twin daughters, Zara and Zira.
His mind was clouded with suspicion. For weeks, Kunle had noticed Ada’s strange behavior—late nights, secretive phone calls, and a distant attitude. His trust began to erode.
“It’s already 11 p.m.,” he muttered. “What kind of job keeps a married woman out this late?”
He convinced himself that Ada was being unfaithful. Driven by doubt, Kunle had taken strands of the twins' hair and sent them for a DNA test. When the results arrived, his hands trembled as he opened the envelope
“They’re not mine,” Kunle whispered, his voice shaking. “After everything I’ve done?”
Blinded by rage and betrayal, Kunle’s thoughts turned dark. But instead of confronting Ada first, he turned on the children.
Late one night, Kunle entered the twins' room while they were fast asleep. His face was blank, cold.
“Wake up,” he whispered, tapping them both.
Zira stirred. “Daddy? What’s wrong?”
“Be quiet and listen,” he said sternly. “If either of you speaks about this to anyone, you’ll regret it.”
Terrified and confused, the girls remained silent. They didn’t understand what was happening, but the fear in their hearts kept them from resisting. What followed was a nightmare that repeated itself on multiple nights whenever Ada was away.
One evening, after another traumatic episode, Zira sat up in bed crying. Zira looked at her sister and said, “We can’t let this continue.”
“What can we do? He said he’ll hurt us if we talk,” Zara replied.
Zira clenched her jaw. “We’ll record him. Maybe Mama will believe us if we show her.”
