My sweet Neriah,

Three years ago, I held you in my arms for the very first time, and in that moment, a part of my heart began living outside my body.

You may still be little, but you have filled our lives with so much laughter, wonder, and love. You have taught me patience, shown me strength I didn’t know I had, and reminded me every day that miracles still happen.

I watch you sleep sometimes and wonder how God trusted me with something so precious.

One day you will grow up and read messages like this, and I want you to know that before you learned to speak, before you learned to walk, before you understood the world around you, you were already deeply loved.

No matter how old you become, no matter where life takes you, you will always be my little girl—the one who made me a mother and gave my life a new kind of purpose.
