Viktor Gyökeres is reportedly close to joining Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon. Here are the latest updates on the transfer

The Nigerian Civil War, also known as the Biafran War, began on July 6, 1967. It was a conflict between the Nigerian government and the secessionist state of Biafra, which was largely populated by Igbo people. The war lasted for 30 months, ending on January 15, 1970.
The war stemmed from a complex mix of political, ethnic, cultural, and religious tensions that had been building in Nigeria since its independence in 1960. A series of coups and counter-coups, along with ethno-religious violence in the north, led to the secession of the Eastern Region as the Republic of Biafra in May 1967. The declaration of Biafra's secession prompted Nigeria to declare war.

The conflict resulted in a devastating humanitarian crisis, with an estimated 1-3 million people dying, primarily from starvation and disease. The war is considered a major scar on Nigeria's history. The territory of the Republic of Biafra is covered nowadays by the reorganised Nigerian states of Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Cross River, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Delta and southern Kogi and Benue states.
