ILE-OLUJI ASSEMBLY EDUCATION GROUP ORGANISES SUMMER COACHING FOR SS2 STUDENTS AND CBT TRAINING FOR SS3 STUDENTS
‎
‎The Ile-Oluji Assembly Education group has organized a four week Summer Lesson for Secondary school students in SS2 and CBT training for students in SS3. This stride marks a significant show of concern for improving and as well complimenting the effort of every stakeholder in the building of leaders of tomorrow.
‎
‎The summer coaching attendance held at Holy Saviour’s High School has hit a total of 57 students across various secondary schools in Ile-Oluji while few others who came on visitations from other schools outside the community also harnessed the opportunity.
‎
‎The CBT training also has an attendance of 43 students in the first week while we believe that others will join in the long run.
‎
‎We will continually appreciate the Kabiyesi Oba Dr. Olufaderin Adetimehin, his wife (Dr. Mrs Adetimehin), all members of Jegun in Council, Ile-Oluji Development Council, for releasing to us the Community Computer Centre at Oke-Alafia.

The facility will be more beneficial to the trainings of our young ones and probably later for commercial purposes but we need to establish the visibility of the facility for community consciousness.

‎We equally will appreciate all members of Ile-Oluji Assembly starting from our dear Speaker whom from time to time will not relent on prompting us to proactively ensure the entire Group's in the IA deliver well.

Your time to time promptings has not wearied us in the Education Group but has repositioned us to deliver more to achieve our shared objectives.

‎Further, the environment of the computer facility in Oke-Alafia needs to be properly taken care of. The place is bushy. We have been able to clean the hall with the help of the students and have hired a labour to clear a portion of the frontage. We may need to further clear the environment and make it neat.

ICA INDIANAPOLIS EMPOWERS 32 STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS

On May 15, 2025, the Ile-Oluji Cultural Association, Indianapolis, USA, awarded scholarships worth N25, 000 each to 32 students from eight public secondary schools.

The students were recognised and rewarded for their academic achievements.

Under the leadership of Sir Sunday Pascal Akinbobola, the ICA Indianapolis Chapter has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the development of Ile-Oluji.

ICA’s representative, Elder Isaac Olusoga Ajiromoke, expressed gratitude to the members of the Association for their contributions towards the scholarship awards.

The event, which took place at Ademulegun Grammar School, Bamikemo, Ile-Oluji, was attended by notable figures, including Elder Olagunju (Representative of Ile-Oluji Assembly Education Group), Mr. Oladejo (Area Education Officer and representative of the Ondo State Education Commission), and the Zonal PTA Chairman.

Their presence underscored the significance of the scholarship awards and the impact it will have on the students and the community.

A total of 32 students, four from each of the eight participating schools, were awarded scholarships worth N25, 000 each.

The beneficiary schools include: Ademulegun Grammar School; Usama/Ayesan Secondary School; Akinye Secondary School; Oluwashola Secondary School; Awaye Secondary School; Adebawore Secondary School; Uloen Secondary School, and Abari Secondary School

The principals, parents, and students of the beneficiary schools expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the executives and members of the Ile-Oluji Cultural Association (ICA) Indianapolis Chapter for their selfless service.

THE CHIEF LOSUNLA ADEJOBI OYAWALE ANNUAL SUMMER SCHOOL

The 2025 totally free Chief Losunla Adejobi Oyawale Summer School was held very successfully at the L,A.Primary School, Ajiferere, Ile-Oluji, Monday 28th July through Tuesday 12th August 2025.
Meant for JSS3 to SSS3 students, the school was host to sixty-five students from various secondary schools in Ile-Oluji Kingdom.

Nine university graduate and experienced teachers handled English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, National Values, Civic Education, and Arts and Crafts.

Otunba the Venerable Olufemi Oyawale (retired), Sponsor and Coordinator of the summer school, taught English Usage and Ile-Oluji Culture.
He also took two sessions on Rebranding of Ile-Oluji and its citizens, an Ile-Oluji Assembly project. Appropriate printed handouts were distributed.

The enthusiastic students produced bead necklaces and wrist beads as well as hand fans during the two Saturdays arts and crafts sessions.

The summer school got N200,000 support (the first ever) from Oloye Ademola Akinbola, the Onigegeara of Ile-Oluji, and publisher of Ile-Oluji Times, and Who's Who in Ile-Oluji.

If there is support it is envisaged that the 2026 summer school will last three weeks or a month, God willing.

Three outstanding students in English Usage won prizes. They are: Miss Favour Akinbisehin MasterOlasubomi Olawamide and Master Akinola Fagbamiye.

The Ondo State Government and the Headmistress of L.A.Primary School, Mrs. Akinruli, are deeply appreciated for making the school premises available.

The annual summer school is in memory of Chief Adejobi Oyawale, (ASHAMU OGUN", the Losunla of Ile-Oluji, 16th November 1972 to 17th March 1998. He was a sage and one-time Customary Court Judge in Ile-Oluji. (ENDS)

*OIJEFON YOUTH COUNCIL CONDUCTS SITE VISIT TO 10MVA STEP-DOWN TRANSFORMER PROJECT*

The OIJEFON YOUTH COUNCIL, led by President ENGR. ADEDOKUN ADEYEMI ADEYONU, visited the site of the ongoing 10MVA step-down transformer installation project along Ile-Oluji-Ipetu Expressway, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, on August 2, 2025.

*Project Update*
During the visit, the council observed that the civil engineering aspect of the project is nearing completion. The engineer on site informed them that the next phase will involve erecting electric poles for cable connection, followed by the mechanical engineering aspect (transformer er****on) and electrical connection.

THE ANNUAL CHIEF LOSUNLA ADEJOBI OYAWALE SUMMER SCHOOL OPENS

The 2025 summer school opened today at the L.A.Primary School, Ajiferere, Ile-Oluji, adjacent the Ile-Oluji Civic Centre to the delight of students and teachers.

The holiday coaching is entirely FREE to JSS3 to SSS3 students and manned by very qualified and experienced teachers.

It runs for two weeks with a two-day break on the 5th and 6th August to avoid Ogun Festival inconveniences. The two days will be redeemed the following week.

Subjects taught include English, Mathematics, Basic Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Civic Education, National Values, Christian Religious Studies, Animal Husbandry, and Ile-Oluji Culture.

Hours of study are 9.30am to 1.30pm with a 20 minutes Break daily.

Admissions will close on Thursday 31st July.

Each student receives a plastic file, a biro, and an exercise book.

The first six students to register today also received folded raincoats and cash for break time refreshments.
