Emir of Ilorin Declares Tomorrow Eid el - Fitr

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has confirmed that Eid-el-Fitr celebration will hold tomorrow Sunday 30th March 2025.

He noted that this followed the sighting of new crescent of Shawwal 1446 marking the completion of the glorious month of Ramadan.

This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that Alhaji Sulu-Gambari consulted the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammadu Saad Abubakar CFR, the Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umar Ibn Garbai Ibn El-Kanemi and other prominent traditional rulers across the country for there position.

Allahuma arzuqni fi hadha alyawm alhikmat walwaey , abeadni ean alghaba' waliadiea' , arzuqni nasiban fi kuli niemat tanziluha , bik alkaram ya kirim.

O Allah, on this day, grant me wisdom and awareness, keep me away from foolishness and pretention, grant me a share in every blessing You send down, by You generosity, O the most Generous.

Allahuma fi hadha alyawm qarabani min saeadatik, wa'abeadani ean ghadabik waeiqabik, wamnahni fursatan 'an 'aqra ayatik birahmatik ya 'arham alraahimina

O Allah, on this day, take me closer towards Your pleasure, keep me away from Your anger and punishment, grant me the opportunity to recite Your verses (of the Qur'an), by Your mercy, O the most Merciful.

اللهم في هذا اليوم اجعل صومي صيام الصائمين وقمت في صلاة القائمين في الصلاة أوقظني فيه من نوم الغفلة واغفر لي. يا رب العالمين يا ذنوبي واغفر لي يا من يغفر للخطاة

Allahumaj al siyami fihi siyamasaa imina wa kiyami fihi kiyamal kaa imina wa nabhini fihi an naumatil gafilina wahabli jurmi fihi ya ilahal almina wafu anni ya afian anil mujrimin

O Allah, on this day make my fasts the fasts of those who fast (sincerely), and my standing up in prayer of those who stand up in prayer (obediently), awaken me in it from the sleep of the heedless, and forgive me my sins , O God of the worlds, and forgive me, O one who forgives the sinners!
