"I didn’t approve Saliu Mustapha’s N200m hospital project because my Oga's enemy is my enemy, " says Ilorin East Chairman, Lukman Agbelere

The Chairman of Ilorin East Local Government, Mallam Lukman Agbelere, has said he refused to approve Senator Saliu Mustapha’s N200 million hospital renovation project because the Senator is not on good terms with the state Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

He made the statement during the inauguration of the Sardauna Ngeri Foundation -- a political group reportedly mobilizing support for the Governor’s Kwara Central senatorial ambition.

The project, The Informant247 gathered, is the renovation of the Awodi Primary Health Care Centre, which was facilitated by Senator Mustapha through the 2025 Appropriation Act.

The chairman said he rejected the project and has already started the renovation of the said facility, further insisting that he is ready to take up any project the senator might be planning to execute.
