The criminal aspect of money lending business in Nigeria

As there has been a rise in the business of illegal money lending in Nigeria, so also is a rise in default in repaying the loan.

Most times, the lender resorts to use unethical ways to recover such unpaid debt. Our concern is not on that today. My interest is on the loans lending themselves.

Do you know that you cannot lend money with interest to someone except you are a registered money lender?

Know you now that it is a crime to lend money with interest to someone except you are a registered money lender. If you do, the court won't aid you.

Know further that using the police or any other security agencies to recover debt or such loans is a crime and you could pay dearly for it? So desist from such unwholesome acts.

Then see a lawyer for the way out if you are in such situations or not to run foul of the law.
