Sheikh Ahmad Almukhtaar’s Speech at the Muhammadu Rosulullah Global Family 13th Ramadan Charity Program in Surulere – March 5, 2025
Sheikh Ahmad Almukhtaar, the founder of the Muhammadu Rosulullah Global Family and host of the annual Ramadan charity program, delivered a heartfelt speech at this year’s event in Surulere.
He emphasized that the 2025 edition held special significance for him, as it came with heightened concerns over security measures for the distribution of charity packages. He acknowledged the pressure he faced from the public regarding security, especially in light of the recent unfortunate incident in Ibadan. This led him to make significant adjustments this year, including:
• Changing the program date
• Relocating the venue
• Keeping the date undisclosed until a day before the event
Despite these measures, this year’s turnout was one of the largest ever, reflecting the growing economic hardship in the state.
Sheikh Almukhtaar further revealed that a similar security incident occurred in Surulere, though thankfully, no lives were lost. These challenges reinforced the necessity of the adjustments he made.
Additionally, he noted that this year’s charity distribution was the largest in the program’s history, as the economic crisis has made it increasingly difficult for many to meet their basic needs. Managing both the distribution and security was a tough task, but he expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for His guidance and assistance.
He also highlighted that many attendees were not just present for material aid such as rice, money, and clothing but also sought Ramadan prayers, believing in the power of his supplications to bring divine blessings.
In his final remarks, Sheikh Ahmad Almukhtaar shared an inspiring message:
“Receiving today does not diminish your worth. You are given today so that you may become a giver tomorrow. Never underestimate your potential and what you can achieve.
