Ilorin Emirate Horse Training emerged winner of the Al-Hikmah University Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union Horse Race competition hosted at the Kwara State Stadium on Sunday, February 1st, 2026.

Ilorin Emirate horse riders have continued to distinguish themselves through excellence in horse riding and a strong commitment to training both males and females, young and adult, in horse riding for sport and cultural development across Ilorin and Kwara State.

Emirate Documentary is organizing a 6-month media and impact project designed to document the real experiences of entrepreneurs in Ilorin, Kwara State—not scripted success stories, but honest journeys of building businesses in our local reality.

Across Kwara, entrepreneurs are creating jobs, feeding families, and sustaining communities, yet their struggles with access to finance, infrastructure, policy, and market access are poorly documented and often misunderstood. Decisions are made without listening to those on the ground.

This project addresses that gap.

We will produce 10 unscripted documentary-style video interviews with diverse businesses in Ilorin and a 10-day podcast series that analyzes the key problems facing entrepreneurs in Kwara State—from capital and power to skills and regulation.

The goal is simple:
to listen, document, analyze, and translate real business experiences into insight that can inform policy, support financial institutions, guide development partners, and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

For government, this provides grassroots, evidence-based insight. For banks and sponsors, it offers direct visibility within the SME ecosystem.
For NGOs and development partners, it delivers reliable field narratives with measurable impact.

Emirate Documentary is more than content—it is a listening tool, a policy mirror, and a platform for sustainable enterprise development in Kwara State.
