*Searching For a Male Child Episode 2*
The time was already 9pm and Eberechi hurried out of the compound in search of a man to get her pregnant. She was not just looking for any man to get her pregnant, she wants someone who could make her have a male child. She has suffered a lot of humiliation in the hands of her husband who is hell-bent on bringing another woman into the house if Eberechi failed to bear a male child for him in her next pregnancy. Already, Eberechi has eight children and all of them are girls. Her husband, Okenwa is rich and he wants a son who would inherit his money. That is why Eberechi is out this night looking for another man to get her pregnant so she could bear a boy.
Eberechi already has someone in mind. His name is Mr Alozie. Mr Alozie has a house just two blocks away from Eberechi’s house, so, it was not difficult for her to just walk to the place. Her doctors have told her that it was not her fault that she is not bearing a male child. They said she was just bringing out whatever her husband puts in her body. So, Eberechi was confident that Mr Alozie must be able to give her a male child if he eats from her honey pot. She got to the gate of Alozie’s house and knocked. A gateman opened for her to come in. Since she has been living in the estate, she has never visited Alozie’s house. However, they know each other because the estate is a small place where everyone is known.
“Is your Oga inside?” Eberechi asked the gateman who opened the door for her. She was talking in hushed tones as if she did not want passersby to hear her voice.
“Yes ma! Oga is inside! He just returned from work and he is resting in the living room. Is there any problem?” The gateman asked Eberechi. She merely shook her head and begged to be taken to Alozie’s living room.
“Please, let me just see him briefly.” Eberechi pleaded. The gateman nodded his head and took her to the living room.
