From Fr Mentor's page.
This is EMMANUEL OKWUDIRI from Osisioma Ngwa, Abia State.
Now this is a very painful story, although long but I wish to use this avenue to help Emmanuel and also raise awareness.
I met Emmanuel at the hospital where I went to visit Chiamaka on Sunday whom we are currently handling her case.
Emmanuel is a painter, who was employed and taken to a work site by another guy who got a contract.
It happened that one day during his work he was caught by a mob who beat him up so mercilessly and even gave him so many machete wounds on his forehead and hands, accusing him of stealing from the house he went to paint.
The man who owns the house called the police on him when he was already gruesomely beaten up but the police ordered him to take him to the hospital and treat him, and after he gets better they can then begin the case.
He was taken to the hospital and handcuffed to the bed. He received treatment for more than a month for him to survive the many injuries he sustained during the incident.
During the recovery process, his biological father was called on phone and told what happened to Emmanuel, but his father disowned him there and then, and asked those he offended to do with him whatever they wished.😥
The owner of house, the man who was behind his injuries kept coming to the hospital seeking to take him away while he was still recuperating, but the intervention of the Doctor helped to keep Emmanuel safe.
After Emmanuel recovered, the hospital started calling the man who brought him to the hospital to come and pay his bills and continue his investigation, but the man refused to show up.
The police had also, on several occasions called for the man to come and pay the hospital bills for them to continue the investigation but he had declined.
In anger the police officer in charge asked his officers to go and remove the handcuff on Emmanuel in the hospital.
It was later discovered that Emmanuel was innocent of the accusations.
