The Minister of State for Health, Ishaq Salako, says the proposed nationwide strike by the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, will affect hospitals across the country due to their reliance on fuel-powered generators.
Salako issued this warning while responding to questions in an interview with newsmen.
The minister, however, appealed to both parties in the dispute to exercise restraint in the interest of the public.

Christians have been charged to remain committed in the service of God and humanity.
A former lawmaker in the Imo state House of Assembly, *Rt Honourable Uche Ogbuagu* gave the advice when he received a star ward as the *VOICE OF THE PEOPLE* conferred on him by *Saint Emmanuel’s Anglican Church, Osusu Umule Parish, Diocese of Aba in Abia State Nigeria*.
Ogbuagu*, expressed delight in serving *God,* adding that there was no better place to find joy and peace than in the house of *God Almighty*. *He* urged the people, who are opportuned, to ensure they invest in *God’s vineyard*, because, His blessings, are usually priceless.
He* also assured the church of his consistent support.
For their part, *Mr Chiemela Nwagba*, who spoke on behalf of the organising committee, described *Uche Ogbuagu* as gift to the Nigerian nation and prayed for *God’s* continued blessing.
The Service featured other awardees and songs inspiration by Saint John’s group choir.
Ogbuagu Mbaike*, who dedicated the award to the body of Christ, was represented at the occasion by the Head of news, Real 99.1 FM Aba, *Ozirim Eke*.

Also, It was an amazing sight to behold, and an event which its memories will linger for decades in the subconscious of its attendees.
The presence of who is who in Ikeduru based in United Kingdom as a whole, brothers, associates,friends and inlaws, from other parts of Imo, South East among many others, added to a litany of creme de la creme who graced the auspicious event at the grandest stage.
The excitement among the people was at a crescendo as well as high pitch during the celebration proper. All worthy sons of Ikeduru, friends from various fields of endeavour were not left out of the epoch making event.
Worthy of note was the grand entrance of *Rt. Hon. Uche Ogbuagu*, whose contribution to the betterment of Ikeduru and beyond needs no introduction in all spheres.
The physical presence of *Oke Osisi Kufere Mba*, who had attended the event as a Special Guest in its usual manner and charisma,electrified the venue.
According to the event organisers, *Uche Ogbuagu,* is one living legend in Ikeduru, who other clans dream and wish they could have in their areas, as he is an open book as well as a true Leader of no small means.
Speaking at the well attended event, *Ogbuagu Mbaike* applauded the Ikeduru indigenes domiciled in the UK for their enterprising spirit. He eulogized their oneness and their plan to be *the first People in the UK to acquire a community Centre*, which according to them, would yield income for onward investments back in *Ikeduru Ancient land.*
Ogbuagu*, whose human capital development, employment and empowerment is not in doubt, advised the gathering that, they should tow the line, which he did, while he held sway as Member Representing Ikeduru at the State Legislature by meaningfully engaging the growing population, so as to reduce to the barest minimum the increasing rate of unemployment, restiveness among them. *Ogbuagu* reiterated the need for at least, *a cottage industry in each hamlet and village in Ikeduru* in the spirit of *Invest In Ikeduru,* maintaining that, Ikeduru remains the only place we can boldly call our own.
He* decried the abandonment of the *III vision* which has left him as *the only Politician in Ikeduru with his business investments in Ikeduru soil even till date*, querying why many are called Ikeduru stakeholders without any stake to show for it.
The calmness at the hall while *OKE OSISI KUFERE MBA*, addressed his people exhumed love, respect, acceptance and oneness of mind. While descending from the rostrum, after delivering his charge, loud ovation greeted *Ogbuagu Mbaike*.
Ogbuagu* made a handsome donation in support of the project, which was well appreciated, trippled and gifted to Ikeduru UK on *Ogbuagu's behalf* by well meaning Ikeduru sons, Led by *Barr. Metu*, from the *Metu's Dynasty in Eziama Ikeduru*.
According to them, *Ogbuagu* has done, inestimably well for Ikeduru that the honour of his presence and words of admonition should be celebrated.
The event, featured traditional dance displays from various diasporan communities in Ikeduru.
The event had in attendance but not limited to *HRH. Eze Joe Anyika* of Atta Ikeduru, *Brigadier General Amadike Unogu*, *Chief Sir. Dr. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ahanonu*(Ahaejiagamba of Ihitte Mbieri) *Hon. Justice Nzeh*, Chairman Of Ikeduru Local Government Area.
The event held at *Duke Aldridge Academy, Trulock Road,behind Tottenham Stadium London*.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Olayemi Cardoso, underscored the Bank’s determination to entrench macroeconomic stability, strengthen the banking sector, and position Nigeria as a prime destination for investment.
This is as members of the EU Chambers praised the CBN’s reforms and the stabilisation of the naira as key drivers of renewed investor confidence.
Speaking at an event in Lagos, Cardoso said the recapitalisation exercise for banks is making good progress and will produce even stronger institutions capable of withstanding shocks and financing growth.
At the event, Cardoso noted that while headline inflation remained elevated, it was trending downward as a result of collective efforts thus far, with the expectation that the benefits of the Bank’s tightening stance would continue to take hold.

The United States President, Donald Trump has threatened to impose more sanctions on Russia, after the Kremlin unleashed its biggest-ever aerial barrage at Ukraine.
Russian missiles and drones rained down across Ukraine early Sunday, killing four people and setting government offices in the capital Kyiv ablaze.
Trump told reporters after the assault he was not happy with the whole situation and said he was prepared to move forward on new sanctions on Moscow.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that he was counting on a strong US response.
Russia has intensified its onslaught against Ukraine since a meeting between Trump and President Vladimir Putin on August 15 failed to make any breakthrough on a ceasefire.
After the attack on Kyiv, flames could be seen rising from the roof of the sprawling government complex that houses Ukraine’s cabinet of ministers in the heart of the city — the first time it has been hit during the three-and-a-half-year conflict.
Drone strikes also damaged several high-rise buildings in the Ukrainian capital, according to emergency services.
Russia denies targeting civilians in Ukraine.

Galatasaray manager, Okan Buruk has disclosed that he develops tremendous tension anytime Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen reports to international duty.
Recall that Osimhen has been ruled out of the Super Eagles’ crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
The Galatasaray forward limped off in Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Rwanda in Uyo on Saturday with an injury in the first half.
Reacting to the development, Buruk, in a chat with newsmen stated that he hoped the injury to Osimhen is not serious.
