Ronaldo, Saudi Giants Eye Asian Glory in Jeddah Showdown
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr are one of three Saudi powerhouses aiming for AFC Champions League Elite success as the tournament’s final stages kick off in Jeddah from April 25 to May 3. Alongside Al Hilal and Al Ahli, the Riyadh-based club will enjoy home advantage in the quarter-finals, semis, and final at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
Ronaldo, 40, has scored seven goals in the competition and hopes to win his first AFC title. Al Nassr face Japan’s struggling Yokohama F-Marinos in the quarters. Al Hilal play South Korea’s Gwangju, while Al Ahli meet Thailand’s Buriram United.
With stars like Mahrez, Toney, Mitrovic, and Cancelo spread across the Saudi sides, all three clubs are strong contenders for the trophy on home soil.
