Today, our Incoming President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar visited our dear state as part of his nationwide campaign tour.

Our Incoming Governor, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, on the other hand, received the National Flag from The Party's National Chairman, Senator Iyorcha Ayu as the standard Flag bearer of the party.

The event is indeed symbolic as we promised to restore 'hope' for Nigerians that no longer believe in our dear Nation, Nigeria.

Lado/Tripple A, Obanibasiri, Others Flag Off PDP Campaign In Ogun

By: Idowu Esther

The Peoples Democratic Party's Candidate in Ogun state, Hon. Ladi Adebutu (Lado), his running mate, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade (Tripple A), alongside the Ogun west Senatorial Candidate, Chief Ganiyu Dada (Obanibasiri), and other flag bearers at the 2023 elections in Ogun state, on Wednesday, flagged off the state's campaign in Ipokia local government.

The trail, which had a brief stop at the palace of Oniko of Ikolaje, HRM Oba John, Olakunle Ojo before addressing the waiting crowd that came out in thousands to welcome Hon. Ladi Adebutu, Chief Obanibasiri, and other flag bearers on the platform of PDP in the coming election.

While addressing the mammoth crowd who welcomed the Senatorial Candidate to Ipokia with different songs of praises and choruses, Chief Ganiyu Dada Obanibasiri, assured them of 'renewed hope, while urging them not to vote a 'stranger', who is only looking to buy the people's conscience for his own personal gains.

In his exact words, "don't vote a total stranger at the poll in February. Let's not give someone who is alien to us a chance to lord over us. Genuine representation should be prioritized at the expense of cash or material gifts".

He urged electorates in Ipokia to avoid selling their votes for a 'pot of porridge'. Instead, they should eat whatever they are offered, because it's their common wealth and vote for a true son of the soil who knows where the shoe pinches.

In his own address, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, canvassed eligible voters to vote all PDP candidates in Ogun state and also vote enmasse for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Okowa in the Presidential election.

He assured that Atiku and PDP already has 17 states in their pocket in the forthcoming elections, while negotiations are ongoing to lure more states to the 'party to beat'.

He assured Ipokia citizens and Ogun residents at large of 'relief from all the untold hardship, which the government of APC has subjected them to in the last 7 years.

He also promised to set up a Commission for border communities in the State if elected as Governor in the 2023 general elections. VOA News report.

He noted that the border communities in the State urgently need special attention of the Federal, State and Local Governments.

Mr Mufutau Okeowo and hundreds of drcampees were received following their cross-carpeting from the rival party after telling tales of hardship faced and the need for qualified representation which influenced their change of mind.
The party supporters and sympathizers, who thronged the venue of the campaign flag off, won different gift items ranging from; sewing machines, hair dryers, mobile phones, grinding machines, among several others during a raffle draw, apart from electric transformers, which Hon. Ladi Adebutu donated during the flag off.

Ijagba, Obasanjo Residents Beam For Hope As Obanibasiri Steps In To Reopen Their 'Impassable' Roads

Indigenes and residents of Ijagba and Obansanjo communities in Ota, yesterday, beamed for hope as the People's Democratic Party's Candidate, Chief Ganiyu Adeleke Dada (Obanibasiri), assured them of reopening their long abandoned roads in a bid to make lives bearable for them after a very long time.

Obanibasiri, while carrying out an 'on spot' assessment of the abandoned Ijagba/Obasanjo/Itele roads in the early hours of Sunday, assured the residents of his readiness to begin grading of the roads, construction of drainages and dredging of nearby river to pave way for smooth passage of flood when it rains.

One of the CDA leaders in the community, who lamented their continued neglect in the area, said, 'they are not willing to allow for another four years of 'unfulfilled promises' as they were 'cajoled' into believing that the roads would be fixed after their election almost four years ago.

He reiterated that the community spent over 3.3 million Naira a couple of years ago to construct drainages through a 'self help initiative', but assured that they would return favour, if the Senatorial Candidate comes to their rescue.

In a show of appreciation, the youth, who were visibly happy at the gesture, struggled to have the campaign banners and other items of Chief Ganiu Dada, while assuring him that they would vote enmasse for him at the February poll.

We Can't Keep Suffering In Silence"- Imeko Afon, Yewa North Local Government Declare Maximum Support For Obanibashiri, PDP

Residents and party loyalists in Imeko-Afon and Yewa North local government areas of Ogun state, have rented out their frustration and what they termed, 'deliberate denial' from all the representatives of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state, most especially, in Ogun west Senatorial district.

It was amidst mixed feelings that supporters and sympathizers of Ogun west Senatorial hopeful, Chief Ganiyu Adeleke Dada (Obanibashiri) and other PDP would be candidates, trooped out to welcome them to the party's ward to ward meeting which is being currently embarked upon by the party leaders across the state.

Earlier, while receiving Obanibashiri and his team at the party secretariat in Imeko on Thursday, the Lisa of Imeko and a PDP Chieftain in the state, Chief Paul Adesina Adejobi, decried the 'terrible state of infrastructures and poor governance by the current APC political office holders in Ogun state and in Nigeria as a whole'.

He said that, 'Nigeria was not as terrible as it currently is when the PDP handed power about 8 years ago'. Adding that prices of commodities in the common men's market has skyrocketed due to the inability of those voted into power to formulate policies that could better the lots of its people.

Chief Adejobi, however, asked the people of Imeko-Afon to believe in the project of Obanibashiri and work tirelessly to ensure his victory at the polls in 2023 as he is a true son of Ogun west and he has a proven track record in the private sector which he has been for several decades, while also advising electorates that some big 'money bags' are coming with huge cash in order to buy their conscience, but they should receive the money because it is their 'right', and vote in who would truly turn the fortunes of the state and that of Ogun west especially, around.

"They are coming with our stolen money in millions to buy your conscience. I advise that you collect the money from them because it is your common wealth and sweat. Then, vote those who are genuine indigenes of Ogun west and the person that has the interest of this state at heart. That is why we are appealing to you to vote Hon. Ladi Adebutu for Ogun Governor, Chief Ganiu Dada for Ogun west Senate and other candidates under the umbrella of PDP across the state".

Chief Ganiyu Adeleke Dada, while addressing the obviously excited crowd, said though, the gathering is not for campaign, but the huge crowd that turned for the ward to ward meeting is evidence that they are indeed interested in the project, 'Obanibashiri' and that they were already tired of pretense amidst hunger and under-representations.

He added that he will surely perform beyond conviction when given the opportunity to serve them as there is 'burning passion and desire to serve in him'. He assured that he will return to the town with his Principal, Hon. Ladi Adebutu when the case at the Appeal court is finally won in a fortnight.

In a similar twist, the train stopped at the town hall in Aiyetoro to meet with party stakeholders in Yewa North local government.

Welcoming Chief Ganiu Dada and his team, Ogun west Senatorial Chairman of PDP, Elder Sunday Soledolu, assured him of a block vote from the local government and that he should work on securing a landslide victory in Ota, which is his constituency in that the people of Yewa North were prepared to end 'bad representation' in the region and they will give in everything it takes to stop 'impersonation' at the coming polls.

Chief Dada, who assured party stakeholders of 'excellent and effective representation', asked them to go all out to collect their permanent voters card when INEC bring it to their wards and ensure they prevail on others to do same too.

The train as gathered, will touch down all other local government areas of Ogun west in a familiarization visit across all the wards in Ogun west Senatorial district.
