Raji Oke-Esa CBT Centre Accredited for 2026 JAMB

The Raji Oke-Esa Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre has been accredited for the conduct of the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.

The confirmation, announced by Abubakar Subomi Kolawole, has been welcomed by students and education stakeholders across the area.

With this approval, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oke-Ogun now has two accredited CBT centres, easing pressure on existing facilities. The development will reduce long-distance travel, cost, and stress for candidates. Stakeholders have commended Dr. Ahmed RAJ SAN for his support toward improving educational access in the region.

ASEYIN APPOINTED CHAIRMAN, CONFERENCE OF OBAS OF OKE OGUN

The Aseyin of Iseyinland, Oba (Dr.) Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, has been appointed Chairman of the Conference of Obas of Oke Ogun, following a meeting of traditional rulers from the zone.
The appointment was made during a closed-door meeting held at the palace of the Okere of Saki, Oba (Dr.) Khalid Olabisi, in the early hours of today. Sources present at the meeting confirmed that the decision was reached by consensus among the participating monarchs.
With the appointment, Oba Adeyeri III assumes the role of coordinating the activities and positions of traditional rulers in Oke Ogun, a region comprising several local government areas in northern Oyo State.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, the new Chairman acknowledged the confidence reposed in him by his colleagues and stated that he would adopt an inclusive leadership approach. He said the Conference under his leadership would prioritize unity among traditional institutions and seek greater engagement with relevant government authorities on issues affecting the region.
Oba Adeyeri III also referenced the leadership role played by the Okere of Saki in convening the meeting, noting the continuity of leadership within the Conference following the demise of the immediate past Chairman, Oba (Dr.) Ganiyu Adekunle Salau, DVM.
According to him, one of the objectives of the Conference going forward is to ensure that the collective positions of Oke Ogun traditional rulers are articulated clearly at both the state and federal levels, particularly on matters relating to security, development, and social welfare.
He further stated that cooperation among monarchs and support from residents of Oke Ogun would be essential to the effective functioning of the Conference.
The meeting concluded with assurances from participants on the need to sustain peaceful coexistence and internal cohesion among traditional institutions within the Oke Ogun

Statement on Visit to Oloka Village Following Bandit Attack

Senator Buhari Abdufatai pay visited Oloka Village on a sympathy and fact-finding mission to carry out an on-the-spot assessment of the tragic bandit attack that occurred on Wednesday at the Oloka Rangers Barrack, where forest guards of the National Park Service of Nigeria were brutally killed in the line of duty.

The scene was deeply disturbing and heartbreaking—a gory sight that underscored the gravity of the loss and the growing security challenges confronting our communities.
I shared in the grief of the people of Oloka, offering words of comfort and solidarity during this painful moment. I assured the villagers that this unfortunate incident will be escalated to the appropriate authorities, with a firm call for decisive action to prevent a recurrence and to ensure that justice is served.

During my visit, I also engaged with the security agencies present at the scene, urging them to intensify proactive measures aimed at safeguarding lives and property, particularly in vulnerable and forest-bordered communities.
Once again, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen forest guards, the National Park Service of Nigeria, and the entire Oloka community. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may strength and comfort be granted to all those affected.
