*Governor Oborevwori Has Done Nothing for Delta APC to Deserve Its 2027 Ticket*

There is growing uneasiness and anxiety within the members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State over the inability of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to harmonize the party since he, and his crumbled party, the defunct PDP took shelter in party.

The worries amongst the APC footsodiers stemmed from the failure of the governor to implement most of his promises to the party ... click to read the full story. https://abujatimesmag.com/governor-oborevwori-has-done-nothing-for-delta-apc-to-deserve-its-2027-ticket/

How NAS implemented his Secret Deal with Okowa

Some folks have expressed reservations about my report on the position swap agreement between NAS and the Okowa group.their skeptism on the authenticity of the report was not unexpected as such reactions underscore the fact that stories of Ekwueme’s political shenanigans in Delta North are, in most cases stranger than fiction.

For the benefit of doubt, in this article, I present to you the steps so far taken by NAS to implement his secret agreement with the Okowa group. Of course, what I am presenting to you is already on the public domain, which most of us are very much aware of;

A few hours after the endorsement of Senator Ned Munir Nwoko (SNMN) alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwo for a second term in their respective offices, NAS swings into action. He immediately summoned an emergency meeting of .. click to read the full story. https://abujatimesmag.com/how-nas-implemented-his-secret-deal-with-okowa/

NAS' Secret Deal With Okowa

By Frank Iroroh

Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudima (NAS), the chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC, Aniocha South Local government area, who shares the same Federal Constituency with Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko (SNMN), the Senator representing the good people of Delta North Senatorial district, is said to have struck a deal for himself with Ekwueme of the defunct Delta PDP

Information gathered from a dependable source revealed that NAS in his desperate ambition to clinch the Chairmanship position of the All Progressives Congress APC Delta State, has agreed to *trade the Delta North Senatorial seat for the APC Delta Chairmanship position*, a kind of absurd position swap.

The source who pleaded anonymity for fear of reprisals told ATM news online that ....

*ANIOMA STATE COMES WITH FULL PACKAGE* THE POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS.

By Frank Iroroh

The participation of Anioma people in making decisions on how Anioma is administered was the major reason our past leaders took up the fight for the creation of Anioma State. This struggle started during the colonial time and is currently being championed by distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, the Senator representing the good people of Delta North Senatorial district in the 10th Senate.

There is no gain saying the fact that statehood will tremendously expand the political ecosystem of Anioma.

The bill sponsored by distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko for the creation of Anioma State has no controversy as it specifically outlines the components of Anioma State to compromised the nine local government areas of Delta North Senatorial district, which are: Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika North East, Ika South, Oshimili North , Oshimili South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani LGAs in alphabetical order.

*More Local Government Areas to Be Created*

The creation of Anioma State will automatically lead to the creation of more local government areas, and each of the existing local government areas is likely to be divided into two or more local government areas. In the end, Anioma State may likely have closed to 25 LGAs.

*Federal Constituencies*

As contained in the memorandum submitted to the Senate Committee on the Amendment of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the high-powered *Technical Committee on the Creation of Anioma State,* Anioma state will have nine federal constituencies , which are;
1. Ndokwa North Federal Constituency
2. Ndokwa Central Federal Constituency
3. Ndokwa West Federal Constituency
4. Ika North Federal Constituency
5. Ika Central Federal Constituency
6. Ika South Federal Constituency
7. Aniocha/Oshimili North Federal Constituency
8. Aniocha/Oshimili Central Federal Constituency and
9. Aniocha/Oshimili South Federal Constituency.

*Senatorial Districts*

As contained in the memorandum under reference, Anioma State will have three Senatorial Districts, which are:
1. Anioma East Senatorial District, comprising the following current Local Government Areas, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, and Ukwuani LGAs.
2. Anioma Central Senatorial District, comprising the following current local government areas, Ika North East and Ika South LGAS.
3. Anioma West Senatorial District, comprising the following current local government areas, Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, and Oshimili South .

In addition to the above political institutions, the government of Anioma from the local government councils to the state level will be run by Anioma people, not by the South South people or South East politicians.

More also, statehood will make it mandatory for Anioma to be represented in the Federal Executive Council and be appointed chair of boards of the federal government institutions and agencies under every administration in Nigeria.

Anioma State creation is all about making governance closer to the people and enabling Anioma people to shape their destiny. Getting more Anioma people involved in decision-making on how the affairs of Anioma are going to be run for a greater development of every community in Anioma.
Anioma State will
Create huge job opportunities for our teaming unemployed youth.

Anioma State is progress and development. Those working against the creation of Anioma State are wizards who are motivated by envy, jealousy, and personal political engrandisment. They are enemies of progress and development of Anioma.

Anioma State is not Senator Ned Munir Nwoko's project. It is the Anioma people's project. As the champion of the current struggle, we owned it a duty to rally round him and give him the maximum support to get the job done.

Anioma State will be created because God is involved, our ancestors are involved, Anioma people want it, and a visionary determined Senator Ned Nwoko is on the driving seat.

The accompanied logo is the seal of the government of Anioma State as adopted by the Technical Committee on the creation of Anioma State.

*Anioma State is a land of beauty and brains* embraces it, loves it, and supports our legendary Senator Ned Munir Nwoko to drive the struggle to a successful conclusion.

Materials in this article are culled from the memorandum for the creation of Anioma State, titled *Anioma State, A Case For Justice, Balance and National Progress*
*A Strategic Proposal For The Creation Of Anioma State* submitted to the Senate Committee on the Amendment of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the Technical Committee on the creation of Anioma State.

**THE BILL FOR THE CREATION OF ANIOMA STATE Sponsored By Senator Ned Munir Nwoko*

By Frank Iroroh

The above is a photos hit of the Bill for the creation of Anioma State sponsored by Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko (SNMN), the voice of Anioma people in the Senate, the shot was taking from one of the documents submitted to the Senate Committee on the review of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, during its public hearing at Ikot Ekpene Akwa Ibom State, 4th-5th July 2025. It was a vital material used to make a case for the creation of Anioma State.

Recall that in mid-August 2024, when the Anioma State creation issue was raging with joy and fury.
I did a review of the Bill as was sent to me by my principal. Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko, which I circulated in the major social media platforms in Delta State
See....

When I publish the Bill. Many people reacted negatively to it. Some said it was fake, forged, and manipulated, and others say it was not from Senator Ned Nwoko.
The reason for their doubts was that what they were expecting to find in the bill was not there and does not exist in the constitution of Nigeria, which is being reviewed by the Senate committee.

Some people think clauses like relocation to southeast and annexation to southeast must be in the Bill.

At Ikot Ekpene public hearing, the Bill for the creation of Anioma State, sponsored by Senator Ned Nwoko, was the standing point the Technical Committee on the creation of Anioma State, stood on to make a case for the creation of Anioma State

The Bill sponsored by Senator Ned Nwoko on the floor of the 10th Senate was the same tendered to the Senate Committee on the Ammendment of the Constitution of Nigeria, at its public hearing held on 4th-5th July at Ukot Ekpene Akwa Ibom State.

The Bill is the exact same, our distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko sent to me in August 2024, which I published on 26th August 2024,

Senator Ned Munir Nwoko's Bill is clean. It has no blemishe. It satisfies the wishes and aspirations of the Anioma people and at the Ikot Ekpene public hearing. *There was no opposition to the Bill*.

Our senator is a man of high integrity. He is unwavering. He does not joke with the interest of Anioma people. He us trusted.

Let's us give our dynamic senator the maximum support to deliver Anioma State.

Anioma State, a land of beauty and brains.

*ANIOMA STATE CREATION*
*Excitement At Ikot*
*Grumbling At Home*

By Frank Iroroh

The case for the creation of Anioma State was robustly presented by *the duo of His Royal Majesty, Obi Henry Kikachukwu, the Obi of Ubulu Unor (Vice Chairman of Delta North Traditional Rulers Council), and Chief Barr. Anthony Ogana, head, communication and publicity department of the Technical Committee on the creation of Anioma State*.

The presentations were made before the Senate Committee on the Amendment of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, during its public siting held simultaneously on 4th-5th July 2025 in the 6 geopolitical zones in the country. The South South geopolitical zonal hearing was held in Ikot Ekpene Akwa Ibom State.

The major debate at Ikot Ekpene sitting of 4th July 2025, was at the instance of the Bill for the creation of Anioma State, sponsored by Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko (SNMN), the Senator representing the good people of Delta North, in the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Anioma State creation Bill has gone through the 1st and 2nd reading on the floor of the Nigerian Senate and was slated for the public hearing. It tops the agenda of the Ikot Ekpene public hearing.
The Senate Rules for public sitting were adopted.

The presentation of the Anioma case was preceded by great excitement and enthusiasm of Anioma people who were there, en mass to witness the historic event.
At Ikot Ekpene, *Anioma is everywhere*, as stated by Senator A. Bassey of Akwa Ibom East senatorial district. He clearly described the mood of Anioma people in the hall of Four Point by Sheraton Hotel, venue of the public sitting.

The Senate President Obong Godswill Akpabio, who conducted the proceedings, call for objections to the proposed Anioma State, and was answered with no objection, there was no opposition to the creation of Anioma State
The gavel was struck three times with a resounding *No opposition to the creation of Anioma State* This was the senate committee's take home on the Anioma State creation bill. There was no opposition to the creation of Anioma State.

*Presentation by the Isoko communities in Ndokwa East LGA*

Isoko Communities in Ndokwa East LGA presented a case before the Senate Committee, they made it clear that they are not opposed to the creation of Anioma State, but argued that they are Isoko people domiciled in Ndokwa East Local Government Area and that they do not want to join Anioma State. They demanded to have a local government of their own in the new Delta State or alternatively be merged with Isoko North and Isoko South LGAS.
There was no objection to their presentation. This was noted by the senate committee.

*Igbanke and Olije communities' presentation*.

Igbanke and olije communities currently domiciled in Edo State, also made a strong presentation before the Senate Committee. They said that they are in support of the creation of Anioma State, that they are Ika people, and that they want to join their Ika brothers and sisters in Anioma State.
There was also no opposition to their demand. This was also noted by the senate committee.

This was how the hearing went as far as the Anioma State creation public hearing is concerned.

The documents supporting the creation of Anioma State were tendered to the Senate Committee, thus providing the Nigerian Senate everything they need to proceed with the
3rd reading, and call for a referendum.

*DELTA NORTH LOCAL COUNCIL CHAIRMEN SELF DENIAL.*

The denial of Delta North local government council chairmen of the document they willingly signed in support of the creation of Anioma State is of no effect, it is medicine after death, colloquially put, their assertion is just a media stunt intended to appease the man who planted them in the Local Government Councils.
Their actions proved that they do not owe allegiance to the people who supposedly elected them to the office.
They boycotted the public hearing, thereby missing a golden opportunity to speak on behalf of their people, an opportunity for them to tell the Senate Committee what their people want or what they want for their people.
They prefer to obey the instruction of Okowa, their boss, rather than stand up for Anioma people.
They denied themselves and outrightly chicken out at a point when the people needed them most.
It is pitiable, and that is what happens when people allow clowns to be imposed on them by a single individual. Okowa is flexing his muscles, he is demonstrating to Anioma people that he has the power to dictate our future, time shall tell.

*Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) Grumbles*

It was surprising to read a press release by NNU, claiming they were not allowed to present their position on the creation of Anioma State at the 4th July public hearing, which they sarcastically described as a sham.

The assertion of NNU is a blatant lie and a very big lie for that matter.
Everybody who wanted to speak was given a chance and time to speak.
The sitting adopted the Senate rules.
People and groups were permitted to speak. It was a no-hold bar section.

A call for memo was issued to interest groups long before the public hearing.
The question is, did NNU present a memo to the Senate Committee before the public hearing? If they did, they should have stood up to defend their position. They should have stood their ground and aired their view instead of resorting to blackmailing the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It must be pointed out that aside from the presentations of Anioma State creation case:
Women groups made cases for slots in government at all levels.

People with disabilities presented their case, and
The Nigerian Labor Congress NLC advocated for labor at the public hearing.

Issuing a press release that they were not allowed to present their case is crazy and hilarious, and a clear case of blackmail. Nobody from NNU stood up to speak. I challenge such individuals to provide evidence of his or her allegation.

However, there is a takeaway on the NNU press release. They made a great proposal. They stated that *they want Ndosumili and Ukwani people to have 9 local government areas and two Federal Constituencies* in the Anioma State.

This is a great demand, you cannot make an omelette without breaking an egg. There must be an Anioma State for the Ndokwa nation to have 9 LGAS and 2 Federal Constituencies. That is the essence of the struggle for the creation of Anioma State, to bring government closer to the people. That is the fight being championed by our distinguished senator, Ned Nwoko. It is a fight for all Anioma people.

I wish the Onu-Ika, the supposed mouthpiece of Ika people, would take a cue from NNU and put forward the demand of the Ika nation in the Anioma State. Onu-Ika should sample opinions from communities that make up Ika nation and come up with a position paper. They should not wait for Okowa to tell them what they should do and what they heartily desire. *Ika North East LGA should be divided into three or four LGAs*.

Anioma people should unite to realise the Anioma dream. Anioma State is for the sociopolitical and economic emancipation of the Anioma people.

*Sen. Okowa and Sen Nwaoboshi cannot hold the Anioma nation to ranson*.
It is evident that the opposition to the creation of Anioma State is being instigated by Sen. Okowa, who never hides his disdain for the creation of Anioma State.
He has recently been joined by Senator Nwaoboshi, both former senators who did nothing to uplift the Anioma people while in the senate. They are the ones beating the drums, danced by some of these clandestine groups.

The two former senators are being motivated by jealousy. Jealousy of not being in the spotlight. Okowa is bittered for not being the one in the spotlight. He should blame his incompetence and lack of foresight for his woes. He was in the Senate for four years, and he did mention anything about Anioma State creation. He did not even raise a simple motion calling for the creation of Anioma State. Now he is doing everything to truncate the struggle, he is not going to succeed.

The unfortunate news is that both Senator Okowa and Senator Nwaoboshi were not present at Ikot Ekpene, to state their objections to Anioma State creation. They cowardly hide and choose to play their hide and seek dirty games.

This is not a time to hide, they should be courageous enough to come out and publicity tell Anioma people where they stand on the Anioma State creation. Silence is not golden now.

They should tell us what they want and stop holding nocturnal meetings and instigating groups to derail the yearning of the Anioma people.

Sen. Okowa and Sen. Nwaoboshi should study the bill for the creation of Anioma State sponsored by Senator Ned Munir Nwoko (SNMN) and tell Anioma people the areas they found repulsive and detrimental to the interest and political aspiration of the Anioma people.

Let them show us what they have and let us collaborate to achieve the Anioma State.

I support Anioma State creation. My community is in full support of distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko in his drive, determination, and dexterity to deliver Anioma State.

Let's unite to end slavery and marginalization in our own land, let's fight for our freedom, freedom from haters who do not want to see us grow and freedom from slave masters within us.

*We need unity of purpose as we prepare for the referendum on the creation of Anioma State.*

DELTA PDP'S CAPITULATION,

PART 1

AFTER RAIN COMES THUNDER - Chinua Achebe.

By Frank Iroroh

I attended what I can best describe as the burial ceremony of Delta PDP held at the Cenotaph, Asaba, on 28th April 2025, the burial rites were conducted by the duo of the immediate past governor of Delta State and Vice Presidential candidate of PDP in the 2023 Presidential election, Sen, A I Okowa, and his successor, Rt Hon Sheriff F Oborevwori, the incumbent governor of Delta State, in their separate remarks, both admitted that their deceased party, the PDP was deeply fractured, rapidly depleting, and dangerously sinking into the bottom of the ocean. They further averred that the party is in a precarious situation where it is incapable of winning any elections in Delta State and Nigeria at large. Hence they decided to surrender to the strongest, the largest, the most viable, and the most stable political Party in Nigeria, the All Progressive Congress APC.

It is disheartening to hear such negative remarks from the very people who contributed to the depletion and sinking of PDP in Delta State.

It is equally sorrowful to observe that former governor Okowa and Oborevwori, his successor, who rose to the pinnacle of political prominence in Delta State through PDP, are the ones who deliver the final nail to the coffin of the party in the State.
Some politicians are hypocrites (Majek Fashek)

Now What's Next

In their plea for acceptance, they also admitted that Delta PDP is insolvent and distressed and requested its acquisition by Delta APC; I can now call them the legacy APC, a bequest of Delta APC.

Now that they have surrendered, the necessary protocol guiding a capitulated army should be invoked. When troop surrenders to a superior force, they are de-armed and encamped/de-briefed before being integrated into the conquering army, if need be.

APC has been at war with PDP for over ten years, we fought a brutal war with them during the 2023 general elections, and in that war, many APC faithful suffered great humiliation; some were maligned and assaulted, some survived assassination plots, some were maimed, and some unlucky ones were sent to their early grave. Many have their properties confiscated, and some have their vandalized and destroyed.

All these are crimes against humanity, and for peace to reign between APC and legacy APC, there must be recompense and compensation for all our members who were victims of their brutality and atrocity.

The idea of welcoming them into our folds is not an issue; rather, the legacy APC members should go to their various wards and LGAs to apologize to our members suffering the pains of their violent attacks and mistreatment, they should show remorse and make peace with those they once tormented; they should humble themselves and plead to be integrated into the party. They should stop bragging that they will take over the structure of APC in Delta State.

I am aware that the leadership of our great party, the APC is working on plans for peaceful coexistence amongst us, and I have absolute confidence in their ability to secure a good deal for APC faithful across the state.

Whatever agreement that is reached should trickle down to the LGA and ward levels.

As we await an official statement from our leaders regarding the terms of the surrender reached with the defunct PDP, sketchy information coming in indicated that the Delta State executive council will be dissolved; this should extend to all the administrative structures of the demised Delta PDP-led government, which should include the dissolution of all the Delta state-owned Boards of institutions, agencies and parastatals, our members should be appointed to viable offices in the new unity government that will be inaugurated at the end of the restructuring and in compliance with the agreement reached.

The same should apply to positions like Senior Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and other positions, APC members should have appreciable numbers of these positions.

Local government executive councils should also be dissolved to give room for the appointment of APC members as secretaries to Local government councils, secretaries to Local Education Authorities, and Supervisory Councilors, including task force members.
This is normal since all the capitulated PDP structures are now inherited by the APC.
Furthermore, APC contractors should be patronized without discrimination.

The Structure of APC in the state should remain with the original APC, this is understandable and is the universally acceptable norm. An MD of a bank who runs his bank to bankruptcy is not expected to be rewarded with an appointment as an MD of another healthy bank. Likewise, a general who leads his troop to capitulation cannot request to be appointed to command the troop of the victors.

Handing the APC structure to those who destroyed their party will be a recipe for disaster for our party.
We should forget the empty rhetoric from those betrayers; their sinister motive for surrendering to our party is very clear to even kids in Delta State.

1. They took the unholy action to protect their loot and avoid further harassment from the anti-graft agencies.
2. They want to use our party as a haven to regroup and later launch a deadly comeback
3. They want to continue to have unhindered access to Delta state resources.
4. If Governor Oborevwori is by any mistake given a second term, it means former governor Okowa will have a fourth term (16 solid years) in charge of Delta State coffer.
5. We do not need any soothsayer to tell us that by 2029, they will be shopping for another political party and looking for another Northern presidential candidate to finance in exchange for a VP slot - running mate.

How Okowa pulls off the mass capitulation of the PDP is stunningly amazing. He has once again demonstrated that he is a grandmaster on the political chessboard, in the act of deceit, Okowa is a bad boy (Fejiro Oliver), but it should not always be a win-win situation for him, that is why we must ensure that the legacy APC will have nothing to do with the Delta APC structure. They should be placed on probation for some months until after our party conventions.

APC faithful, who have been toiling, carrying the flag of the party all these years should not be treated like suckers and losers (Donald J. Trump)

Let's not forget that the people we are dealing with are serial betrayers. Leopards never shed their spots.
