Prince Alhaji Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi is a renowned Nigerian politician and a prominent figure in Lagos State's sociopolitical landscape. Born on October 13, 1936, he hails from the esteemed Olusi royal family, son of Oba Sanusi Olusi, a former Oba of Lagos.
*Early Life and Education*
Prince Olusi began his education at Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School, Alakoro, Lagos, and later attended Araromi Baptist School. He continued his studies at United Middle School in Tamale, Ghana, and Ansar-Ud-Deen College, Isolo, between 1955 and 1958. He furthered his education at the Lagos Centre for Higher Studies and Yaba College of Technology.
*Political Career*
Prince Olusi's political career began in 1962 when he was elected as a councillor for the Lagos Town Council at the age of 26, representing the Action Group (AG) party led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo. He served in various capacities, including Commissioner for Commerce from 1993 to 1996, and currently serves as the chairman of the Governor's Advisory Council (GAC), a pivotal decision-making body.
