Adekunle Gold is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and graphic designer renowned for his rich vocals, thoughtful songwriting, and seamless blend of highlife, Afropop, and contemporary African sounds.
Born Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko on January 28, 1987, in Lagos State, Nigeria, he grew up in the historic neighborhood of Isale Eko, where he developed an early appreciation for music, culture, and storytelling.
Adekunle Gold is a descendant of the Kosoko royal family of Lagos, a heritage that subtly influences his artistic identity and pride in Yoruba culture.
He began his professional career in the creative industry as a graphic designer, famously designing the cover art for YBNL Nationโs compilation album Street OT.
