The Muri Patriotic Elders Forum today paid a courtesy visit to the palace of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umaru Buba Nyala II, the Chief of Kwajji.

The purpose of the visit is to promote peace, unity, development, progress in Muri and building a new and stronger Muri.

"PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH"

You told the youths to first become economically independent before joining politics.
But why have you now turned around to launch a charity/fundraising political campaign?

Isn’t that double standards?
I thought you had already fully established yourself financially before venturing into politics.

Why preach to the youths against the very challenges you are now facing?
Leaders must learn to act according to their words.

The real question to ask from day one is this:
If everyone waits to be financially independent before going into politics, then who will be left to participate in the political arena?

Politics is a natural part of society. It is necessary whether you have money or not.
We must not wait for money before aspiring to take part in political process to change our society.
Bad governance affects both the rich and the poor.

If we truly want change, then change must begin with me and you.
First, we must change our mindset toward politics.

Hangare J Samanjah, who previously accused former Adamawa governorship candidate Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani of referring to Christian women as “Arna,” has apologised to her and members of the Binani campaign team.

In a new post, Samanja said he had listened to the advice of Christian elders and decided to apologise for his earlier derogatory statement.

He also expressed regret to anyone who may have felt uncomfortable or offended by his previous post.

The apology comes after his earlier allegation generated reactions and drew attention from members of the public.

Samanja’s latest statement appears to put an end to the controversy surrounding his earlier claim, as he publicly acknowledged his statement and apologised to those affected.

I am not a supporter of Hon. Danladi Baido, but describing him as a politician “without electoral values” is an argument I strongly disagree with.

Mr. Abdulmumin Imam erred in his previous post by dragging Hon. Baido into a debate about why Gov. Agbu Kefas chose him as Campaign Director General instead of H.E. Sani Abubakar Danladi. Attempting to diminish Baido in order to promote another person is both unfair and morally wrong.

Mr. Imam should recognize that both leaders are brothers who respect each other. Why the unnecessary comparison? Gov. Kefas had his reasons for appointing Hon. Baido, and that decision deserves respect.

Is this not the same Danladi Baido who persuaded our former Governor, H.E. Rev. Jolly T. Nyame, to return to the APC and align with Kefas — and you’re calling him incompetent? That doesn’t add up.

This is also the same man who won the PDP gubernatorial primary in 2007, and was elected to the House of Representatives twice. How then can anyone claim he lacks electoral value? I disagree. What then is your definition of electoral values?.

It’s possible Mr. Imam’s criticism may have stems from a personal grudge rather than facts.

Hon. Danladi Baido was instrumental in bringing H.E. Sani Abubakar Danladi into the limelight in Taraba politics. There’s an old saying: if a father raises a son who grows to be greater than him, do we call such a father a failure? No. Every father hopes to raise a son who surpasses him one day.

There’s no need to “rob Peter to pay Paul.”

I do not believe in thuggery, and I condemn anyone threatening others simply for holding opposing political views. Those threatening Abdulmumin Imam should stop that or face the investigation of the law enforcement agency.

Both Hon. Danladi Baido and H.E. Sani Abubakar Danladi are doing well in their own capacities, and both deserve respect.

Juba Man Detained After Posting Photo With Married Woman.
A young man from Juba is reportedly in detention after posting a photo of himself with the wife of another man online.
According to reports circulating on social media, the man was arrested following public backlash over the picture with _Zol Kebir’s wife_.
