EMOTIONAL DISTANCING
DON'T BE HIS/HER BESTIE IF:
1) THEY ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP/MARRIED
You call them, check on them, go on outings and dates with them in the absence of their partner, somebody that is in a Relationship/Married oh, You've simply being employed as side chic/guy without your knowledge
He or she is using you to kill boredom, and satisfy their emotions when the main person is acting up, or not around, that's an emotional affair on their part.
They have turned you into their Comforter, when you're not the Holy Spirit. Run oh.
2) THEY HAVE SHOWN THEY HAVE NO FEELINGS FOR YOU.
So they have shown they have no interest in you as a lover, even said so, yet they are still calling you their bestie, enjoying it as you carry out best friend duties, whereas you are dying inside from your desire for them, ignoring suitors all because their calling you their bestie is giving you hope,
OR you are the one gunning for the bestie position, hoping that by the time they see your capabilities as bestie, they will change their mind, oshei, you are simply writing a Letter of Application for Admission into the University of Heartbreak.
Respect yourself, carry your heart and emotions and go, maintain the friendship, but do so with BOUNDARIES to protect your heart.
3) YOU BOTH HAVE FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER BUT THEY ARE WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
You will end up with "it was the devil"
"I don't know what came over me"
"We didn't mean to"
Don't keep yam and goat in the same room..
You will end up with a well fed goat and a missing yam.
