Adamawa Ex-PTDF Scholars Back Tijjani Galadima, Pledge Expertise for State Development
More than 1,000 former PTDF scholarship beneficiaries from Adamawa State have pledged their support for the governorship ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima.
The group made the commitment when a delegation of the Adamawa Ex-PTDF Scholars Alumni Association, led by its Interim Chairman, Engr. Muhammad Ahmed Santuraki, paid a solidarity visit to the APC candidate.
The delegation said its decision was informed by Galadima’s record as Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, where his leadership, according to the association, positively impacted over 1,000 scholarship beneficiaries from Adamawa State.
Santuraki also highlighted educational and infrastructural interventions carried out during Galadima’s tenure in secondary and tertiary institutions across the region.
The former scholars said they are prepared to deploy their professional knowledge and international experience towards advancing infrastructure, economic growth and sustainable development across Adamawa’s 21 Local Government Areas.
They also expressed their determination to support efforts to harness the state’s human, agricultural and natural resources for broader development.
Receiving the delegation, Galadima expressed appreciation for their confidence in his candidacy and their commitment to his political ambition.
He described the endorsement as a significant morale boost and an indication of the lasting impact of human capital development.
The APC governorship candidate promised that his administration would be driven by policies, data, innovation and professional expertise, with the ambition of transforming Adamawa into a self-sustaining regional economic hub while building on the achievements of the current administration.
The visit ended with the Ex-PTDF Scholars agreeing to establish and deploy specialised working groups to contribute to the campaign’s policy blueprint and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the general election.
