Honourable Jamilu Isa Felicitates with Nigerians on 65th Independence Anniversary
As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, Honourable Jamilu Isa, former Supervisory Councillor of Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has joined millions of patriotic citizens in celebrating this historic milestone.
In a special independence message, Honourable Isa congratulated Nigerians for their resilience, strength, and unwavering hope despite the many socio-economic and political challenges that the nation has faced over the years. He noted that Nigeria’s journey since 1960 has been marked with both trials and triumphs, yet the courage and determination of its people remain the country’s greatest asset.
According to him, “At 65, Nigeria has every reason to thank Almighty God for sustaining our unity as one indivisible nation. We must continue to work together, irrespective of tribe, religion, or political affiliation, to build a prosperous country where justice, equity, and fairness reign supreme.”
Honourable Isa further commended the founding fathers who laid the foundation of independence through sacrifice and vision, urging present-day leaders to emulate their legacy by prioritising good governance, accountability, and service to the people.
He also encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope, stressing that with collective effort, the country has the potential to overcome its present difficulties and emerge stronger. He called for peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and renewed patriotism among citizens, while reminding them that the progress of Nigeria lies in the unity of its people.
In his concluding remarks, the former councillor expressed optimism that the years ahead will bring greater peace, economic recovery, and development to the nation. He prayed for continued divine guidance for Nigeria’s leaders at all levels and for the prosperity of the entire nation.
