For World Menstrual Health Day🩸2026, which is celebrated annually on 28th of May, EmpowHer Choices Juvenile Abuse Prevention Initiative(NGO) located in TCNN Bukuru, under her Padded Girl Program, did a week long awareness campaign titled ‘DE-STIGMATIZING MENSTRUAl DEVELOPMENT, DISMANTLES R**E CULTURE’ in Schools and rounded up with Hope High Academy. Where topics that intertwine were addressed. From PCOS now PMOS, Endometriosis, to menstrual hygiene, S*x & mental health to Consent and setting boundaries.

Mr. Kabiru Dauda: Director of Let’s Grow Together initiative, an NGO for grassroot development of the Boy Child.

Summary:

We will like our teenagers and young adults to know how to identify, cultivate and develop friendships that are anchored on respect, trust, honesty and kindness, establishing and keeping boundaries. While also highlighting warning signs of unhealthy relationships like control, pressure and disrespect.

We emphasized that menstrual education is also about empowerment and safety. Students learned about consent, personal boundaries, emotional manipulation, peer pressure, and how awareness can help young people protect themselves from exploitation and abuse.

School Representative / V.P Admin .high_academy

Summary:
This seminar provided students with practical health knowledge that is rarely discussed openly. It created a safe space for learning, asking questions, and addressing issues that directly affect students’ wellbeing, confidence, and academic participation.

PROTECT CHILDREN, NOT PREDATORS❗️

⭐️ My dear, when your body begins to change in puberty, it simply means your hormones are preparing you for adulthood—not that it’s time for s*xual activities or exploration. STOP BELIEVING MEN/WOMEN’s LIES❗️

If you ever feel confused or tempted, remember it’s normal—try channeling that energy into sports, creative hobbies, reading, helping others, or talking with someone you trust so you can get help in staying focused on your dreams.💜

When I was a child, I believed all adults had good intentions. I was taught to “respect my elders,” so even when grown men stopped me on the street for unsettling conversations, I felt forced to stand there because “they are your elders” - Teach your kids against this!

Other adults watched and said nothing. Instead, they ran to my parents claiming I was chasing men. Even in church and places I wanted to grow, predators thrived so I left.

My only true refuge was basketball. There, I was treated with dignity. Coaches and teammates made sure I got home safe, blocking these predators’ access to me. So-called “church” people retaliated by spreading rumors about my “promiscuity” and even threatening those protecting me, mind you I was between 8-15yrs.

I look back wishing there had been safe adults who didn’t stand by or gossiped about a child clearly crying for help. Even after I became a teen mom, these same people told my parents to throw me out because “is she gold why are you protecting her indiscretions.”

I vowed I’d never be like them!

At 23, I was locked up for “abduction.” In truth, 100L student (so I thought) ran to me for help because adults were trying to force her into acts she wanted no part of. They tried to intimidate me with cult threats, but when I told the truth, their leader backed off. Instead of releasing her, they lied to the police. This is Nigeria, it was their word against mine—a pin cushion with a bright red Mohawk.

I hold no grudge. She was 16yr old runaway, I later found out who didn’t know better. I’m proud she chose me to run to.

Places like TCNN, Rahwol Kanang, Doruwa in Bukuru-our communities must wake up and stop protecting and being scared of these known predators/pedophiles. Known predators freely roaming and ra**ng the vulnerable, threatening even grown women. If we as adult women aren't safe, imagine what little girls go through. Talk to your daughters/children, BELIEVE THEM and protect them by taking action against these ghouls! @tekanpeacedesk

Stop protecting pedophiles. Posterity will judge us.
Government must regulate clubs, lounges, hotels that look the other way while men bring in little girls. Places like Stefan's in Jos— is now called a "red light district" —where 12-year-olds or even younger are being exploited by men old enough to be grandfathers.
We have failed these little girls ENOUGH. It's time to stand up and protect them before it's way too late❗️
