A Fulani okada, Umar and his passenger, Rashida, are reportedly attacked and kill+d by armed gunmen around Tahore area of Bokkos this evening. They were attacked while coming back from Monday weekly market (Maikatako) on bike.
There bike was also taken away by their killers.

FULBE YOUTHS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (FUYODA) BASSA LGA IN PLATEAU STATE

PROGRAM: ADVOCACY VISIT TO LUGGERE -ZAGUN FULANI COMMUNITY.

In their continuous engagement with the Fulani communities at the grassroots, the FUYODA Bassa chapter had yet again carried out another educative sensitization program to Luggere Zagun on Monday 19th May 2025, in order to create awareness to the the community.

Led by the chapter coordinator, Modibbo Zakariyya Musa, the team focus on enlightening herders on the dangers of underage abf night grazing, enrolling pupils in school to acquire quality education, harnessing the positive use of social media, embracing peaceful negotiations in resolving conflicts among others.

Malam Haruna, the Imam of Zagun central mosque, Alhaji Umar Abdullahi and the Youth leader, Muhammad graced the occasion and gave remarks on the topics discussed.
FUYODA team, appreciate the community for their hospitality and peaceful conduct of the Sensitization.

The team also visited their community Islamic School which consist of 120 student, out of which 95% are female and only 15% attend western education.

Moreso, over 150 students, only one teacher (Malam)takes care of them, a situation that needs to be addressed.
