FUYODA participated in the one day Stakeholders Engagement event as organized by the Fulɓe Development and Cultural Organisation -FUDECO, Plateau state chapter under the leadership of Mr. Abubakar Gambo, on Saturday 21st June 2025 at Sharna Place, Jos.

The program was to present the outcomes of their IDRC-SPARC GES Research Findings on the Economy Empowerment of Pastoralist Women in Plateau state, taking three communities from Barkin Ladi LGA as a case study.

Presenting the report findings, the Lead Researcher, Comrade Muhammad Habib Hussain, said of the 200 respondents from Leikaye, Mazat and Sabon Garin Gana communities, 75.7% of the women have only Islamic knowledge, 15.7% attended primary school and only 8.6% goes to secondary school.
More disturbing was that, only 2.6% of the population have tertiary education, thereby showing significantly low level of education in the Pastoralist community 😭. However, it's now high time for these community to redouble efforts in blending both the Islamic and western knowledge for their children (M/F). This statistic may be assumed to be the same to all the local Government areas of the state.

In attendance from FUYODA were the President, Comr. AY Umar, the Secretary General, Nuruddeen Muhammad Ibrahim, the Auditor General, AI Kunga, Jos South Coordinator, Muhammad Nuru among other members of the Association.
