The Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC) has released the names of Plateau State indigenes who have made the prestigious Federal High Court recruitment shortlist. Among the 62 shortlisted candidates are notable names including Peres David Mann, Judith Nendelmun Binjin-Eigege, Eunice Vou Dalyop, and Simi Drenkat. The FJSC has invited members of the public to provide feedback on the integrity, reputation, and suitability of the nominees within a 14-day period.
The announcement, published in national newspapers on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, was also reported by prominent media outlets including NewsGate Magazine, NewsCrest Newspaper, NewsGate TV, Jat HotNews Newspaper, Ace News Online, Frank News Magazine, Emerald News Magazine, Trust News Online, Compass News Online, Prompt News Online, and Reliable and Factual News Online.
Headquartered at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja’s Three Arms Zone, the FJSC emphasized that the candidates were shortlisted after a rigorous computer-based assessment conducted by the Federal High Court. While the current appointment calls for 14 judges, the comprehensive list of 62 nominees spans all states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), reflecting a highly competitive selection from professionals in private practice, government ministries, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and state judiciaries.
This public disclosure aligns with the FJSC’s longstanding policy, in collaboration with State Judicial Service Commissions and the FCT Judicial Service Committee, to ensure transparency and maintain the highest standards of integrity in judicial appointments. The initiative allows for public participation in verifying the qualifications and character of potential Federal High Court judges, ensuring that only competent and unimpeachable individuals ascend to the bench.
