A lot of people argue about the name of this location do i decided to set the record straight.

Lamingo Dam and Liberty Dam are two different locations with very important history and contributions to the Jos metropolis.

Liberty Dam was constructed in 1972–1973 and commissioned by Gen Yakubu Gowon.

I also previously made the mistake of calling it lamingo dam as well till Uncle Ziggy Isaac Sanda showed me the Commissioning stone.

I guess the mistake also came from the fact that this dam is more visible and is located in the lamingo area.

So, are you just finding out about this or you’ve always know it?
