I’m quite fascinated by the person of JD Gomwalk and His legacy. As A Police Commissioner, he become the first Governor of the Benue Plateau state during the Military Regime.
The whole of Present day Plateau, Benue and Nassarawa States and well as Parts of Taraba and Kogi were all part of this massive state that was under his leadership.

Sadly, it doesn’t seem like a lot of intentionality is being put in place to educate younger generations about him and the big vision He had for the Plateau.

New Cafe Alert.
Kwilas Restaurant is opining thier new Cafe tomorrow 1st of June 2026.
They’ve been working on giving a really special and unique experience at the cafe and we got to experience it before the doors open to the Public.

They’ll officially open by 12noon on Monday the 1st and then subsequently, they’ll operate from 8am daily.

This Children’s Day, Lasuerta Foundation is showing up for children in one of the simplest, yet most meaningful ways we can: through care, dignity, and confidence.

Across many communities, something as small as a torn uniform, worn-out shoes, or the inability to get properly groomed can quietly affect a child’s confidence and school experience. So, they are doing something about it.

Through this special outreach, they'll be providing:
- On-site uniform repairs by volunteer tailors
- Shoe repairs by skilled cobblers
- Grooming sessions with barbers & hair stylists

Because every child deserves to feel seen, prepared, and proud when they step out into the world.

Small acts of care can shape big dreams.
And this Children’s Day, we’re choosing to Dress The Dream
