On 17th October, 2025, a 33-year-old man was accused to have r-ape a 2-year-9-month-old girl named Marya at Mista Ali area, along Jos-Zaria Road.
According to reports, the suspect allegedly gave the little girl alcohol, making her drunk before committing the heinous and evil act. When the matter was taken to the Police Station in Mista Ali, the suspect was apprehended and investigation carried at the Police Clinic around there, the medical team reported no signs of pe*******on, suspicion arouse as the result was not released to the family.
However, yesterday, the Founder and Director of TORRO Centre for Care & Support for Adolescent Children and Women, Mr. Suleiman Muhammad Sani, accompanied the child’s parents to Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) for further medical evaluation.
The doctor at JUTH confirmed beyond reasonable doubts of forceful entry, as reflected in the pictures below (image blurred to avoid restrictions). The findings were deeply saddening and the images gory.
How It Happened:
The victim had gone out to play outside the compound when the suspect, who operates a nearby provision store, lured her.
It was not the first time he had acted suspiciously. On an earlier occasion, he reportedly gave the little girl alcohol. When her parents discovered this, they confronted him and threatened to report the matter to the police.
However, members of the community intervened, and the suspect promised never to repeat such behavior. Sadly, it is alleged that he has been known for similar acts of giving children alcohol.
Friday last week, he once again lured the child into his shop when her mother was inside the house, gave her alcohol and got her drunk, and went on to brutally commit the act.
It is so terrible and heartbreaking!!
