After being declared wanted by the Jerusalem authorities, Jesus of Nazareth was arrested yesterday with the help of Judas, the son of Iscariot, at the garden of Gethsemane

Jesus, who stood trial before Pontius Pilate in the early hours of today, was found guilty of all charges. By popular demands, Jesus of Nazareth has been sentenced to death by crucifixion at Golgotha.

The general public are by this medium, invited to join the procession from Pilate's Praetorium through Via Dolorosa (way of sorrow) to Golgotha, to witness his crucifixion today.

Thanks to Judas, who provided us with useful information, the man who calls himself "Jesus of Nazareth" has been apprehended and will be tried tomorrow at Pilate's Praetorium.

Love is an attribute of God and one of His qifts to us. It is the true nature of Christian love. Love "is not easily angered" helps us understand what true love looks like (and what it doesn't).

Love is "patient" and doesn't fly off the handle at every provocation. One of the hallmarks of a Christian is the ability to tolerate weaknesses in others without readily expressing anger as "Love covers over a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8).

Rather than pretend that we will never feel angry, Scripture says to be "slow to become angry" (James 1:19). God is "slow to anger, abounding in love" (Psalm 86:15). Love puts the brakes on anger, slowing it down for the sake of the one loved.

Being hot-tempered usually involves making snap judgments, seeking instant vindication, and refusing to grant second chances. However, true love refuses to jump to conclusions, take revenge, or hastily judge anyone.

I challenge you to commit to keeping your anger in check and expressing the type of love that is patient.

We tend to keep a record of one another's wrongs because our pride has been offended, and we want revenge or to see the other person humiliated in some way, even when what happened was done in ignorance or accidentally. It is impossible to love somebody and, at the same time, hold the bad things they may have done in the past against them.

There is a distinction between remembering events from the past and holding things against people. When someone has been traumatized through abuse or violence, painful memories can last for years, but to be able to forgive is part of the healing process, and does not contradict the need for people to accept responsibility and face the consequences of their actions.

Today, will you commit to having a spirit of reconciliation, to forgive those who seek forgiveness, letting the past stay in the past?

Often we do things that dishonour God and the people around us because we are seeking fulfilment in some other way. God always desires what is best for us. He will never lead us to sin, falter or run away from Him; these are our doings. God's love is perfect in that He will never dishonour us by bringing us shame or condemning us with guilt. God always lifts us, protects us, and works within us to continually make us better.

Choose to lift people along your life journey, whoever they are."Treat people the way you want to be treated." Self-seeking attitudes and behaviors have nothing to do with love! God's love always seeks the other out. God's love seeks us out, even when we are only seeking for ourselves.

Is there someone you should honour in your life, but you have not shown them any honour or appreciation yet? Why not do it today before it is too late? We never know whether tomorrow will come, so live fully today without leaving any regret.
