FELICITATION

Eid al-Adha is a profound reminder of faith, sacrifice, obedience and compassion, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his beloved son, Ismail (AS). Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an:
“And whoever honours the symbols of Allah — indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.” — Surah Al-Hajj (22:32)
The season calls on all Nigerians, regardless of ethnic, religious or political differences, to embrace peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and national unity. At a time when the nation faces social and economic challenges, the spirit of Eid teaches us patience, generosity and sincere concern for one another. Allah (SWT) further reminds us:
“Indeed, the believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.” — Surah Al-Hujurat (49:10)
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also said:
“The merciful are shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth and the One above the heavens will have mercy upon you.” — Sunan al-Tirmidhi
As families gather in celebration and prayers during this sacred festival, Nigerians are encouraged to reject hatred, violence and division, while promoting dialogue, tolerance and understanding in their communities. Peace remains the foundation for national development and collective prosperity.
May Allah accept our sacrifices, prayers and acts of worship, bless our nation with enduring peace and stability and grant every home happiness and abundant blessings during this Eid season.
