RT Hon Ahmed Idris Wase rallies support for President Tinubu, Prof Nentawe Yilwada, in Jos.
RT Hon. Wase has mobilized support through initiates as a healing balm to the APC in Plateau State for the National Chairman of APC, Prof Nentawe Yilwada in Jos.
Speaking at the enlarged APC stakeholders meeting in Jos, where the party unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, the Deputy Speaker of the 9th Assembly enjoined stakeholders to collapse all support groups to present a united front behind the APC National Chairman.
The APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe appreciated the members for their endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, which he said was deserved because the President has revived the economy of the country and set the nation on a path of recovery and progress.
In a keynote address to the APC stakeholders meeting in Jos on Friday, 17th of October 2025, hosted by the National Chairman, Professor Yilwada, RT Hon Ahmed Idris Wase’s advocacy to unite separate support groups to support the National Chairman received unprecedented endorsements by all stakeholders.
They were comprised of the structures of the party from the State, LGA, Ward and polling units, as well as key stakeholders and supporters.
According to the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, RT Hon Ahmed Idris, the support groups, namely the Choice Group, Rescue Group and Generation Next Group, under former Governors Sen Joshua Dariye, Sen Simon Lalong and Prof Nentawe Yilwada, respectively, should collapsed all structures and create a united platform for the National Chairman, to give traction to his inspirational national leadership, and consequently President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has honoured the state with the election of a homeboy as the National Chairman of the ruling party.
The highlight of the well-attended ceremony witnessed the unanimous endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.
Prominent personalities present included the National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, RT Hon Naanlong Gabyil, two former Governors, Sen. Joshua Dariye and Sen. Simon Lalong, former Deputy Governor and Hon. Minister, Dame Pauline Tallen; the MD/CEO of the North Central Development Commission, Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil; serving and former members of the State and National Assembly; board chairmen; board members, CEOs of Federal Government parastatals; and hundreds of party faithful.
Former Deputy National Secretary of the APC Barr. Festus Fuanter moved the motion, which was seconded by state APC woman leader Hon. Alice Dimlong.
The stakeholders overwhelmingly supported the motion.
RT Hon. Ahmed Idris welcomed the decision of the party and said the President deserves a second term for his courageous reforms and carrying Plateau State to national relevance.
According to him, the appointment of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe as APC National Chairman not only opens access and development but also mainstreams the state to national relevance.
He said the state is united to support Prof. Yilwada for the progress of the state and nation at large.
He appreciated the National Chairman for attracting prominent opposition figures who were present at the event due to his all-inclusive leadership style.
In their separate speeches, the Plateau State party chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature, Dame Pauline Tallen and others paid glowing tributes to President Tinubu, Sen Godswill Akpabio, several governors and national leaders for honouring the state with their presence at the funeral of the mother of the national chairman.
In his speech, Prof. Yilwada said apart from ongoing free medical outreach and other initiatives, a 100 million youth employment initiative is in the pipeline to promote youth entrepreneurships.
The elated party faithfuls committed to mobilizing voters to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office
