JUST IN: Former Vice President Namadi Sambo, Dr. Muhammed Sani Sidi, and Other Dignitaries Pay Condolence Visit to Late President Buhari’s Family

The former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Arc. Muhammed Namadi Sambo, GCON, alongside Alh. Dr. Muhammed Sani Sidi, OFR, and other distinguished dignitaries, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, in Daura, Katsina State.

The delegation was warmly received by the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, who was also on ground to commiserate with the bereaved family.

The visit served as a mark of respect to the memory of the late former President and a demonstration of national solidarity in this moment of loss.

A TRIBUTE TO HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI, GCFR. (1942–2025)

I received with profound sorrow the news of the passing of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, immediate past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2015–2023).

President Buhari was a statesman of uncommon courage and principle. His leadership, marked by integrity, discipline, and a relentless stance against corruption, left a lasting imprint on the fabric of our nation. In both his military and democratic roles as Nigeria’s leader, he exemplified personal austerity and a deep commitment to public service.

He was a man of honour, simplicity and unwavering patriotism qualities that endeared him to many and earned him national and international respect.

His absence will be deeply felt across the country and beyond. We mourn the loss of a true Nigerian patriot and father figure.

On behalf of myself and my family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Government and people of Nigeria, as well as the Government and people of Katsina State, his beloved wife Hajiya Aisha Buhari, his family, friends and all who were touched by his life and legacy.

May Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

SANI SIDI CONDOLES WITH THE DANTATA FAMILY, KANO STATE GOVERNMENT, AND THE NATION OVER THE PASSING OF ALHAJI AMINU DANTATA.

Alh. (Dr) Muhammed Sani Sidi, OFR, former Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of an elder statesman, renowned business icon, and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.

In a heartfelt condolence message, Dr. Sani Sidi described the late Dantata as a towering figure whose lifetime of achievements contributed immensely to the growth of Nigeria’s economy and the upliftment of humanity.

“Alhaji Aminu Dantata was a beacon of selfless service, enterprise, and philanthropy. His legacy transcends commerce and industry; it is deeply rooted in nation-building, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the progress of others. His demise is a monumental loss to Kano State, the business community, and the entire country,” Dr. Sidi noted.

He further extended his condolences to the Dantata family, the Government and people of Kano State, and all Nigerians who mourn the departure of this great icon.

“On behalf of my family and associates, I pray Almighty Allah (SWT) grants the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and gives his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”

SANI SIDI, MOURNS THE PASSING OF FORMER SENATOR CALEB ZAGI

Alh. (Dr) Muhammed Sani Sidi, OFR, (Matawallen Jere), has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of former Senator Caleb Zagi, describing his passing as a monumental loss to Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.

In a statement issued to the press, Dr. Sani Sidi recalled the late Senator’s distinguished career in public service, noting that he was a man of honour, integrity, and purpose. “Senator Zagi was not just a politician, but a reformer whose legislative contributions significantly impacted institutional development and legal reforms during his tenure in the National Assembly,” he said.

The late Senator Zagi served as a Member of the House of Representatives for Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency before representing Kaduna South Senatorial District in the Senate from 2007 to 2011. Throughout his career, he was widely respected for his humility, intellect, and dedication to the common good.

"Senator Zagi’s influence transcended political boundaries. He was a bridge-builder, a power broker, and a mentor to many. His commitment to uplifting others and building lasting structures within the political landscape of Southern Kaduna will never be forgotten,” Dr. Sani Sidi remarked.

He further stated that Senator Zagi’s transition from a respected professional to a political leader was marked by excellence, vision, and service to humanity. “We are not only mourning his death but celebrating a life of significance. His contributions have left an indelible mark, and his absence will surely be felt.”
