THE DESTINY EATER

In a remote Nigerian village shrouded in age-old superstitions, a terrifying legend whispers through the winds: a cursed spirit known as Oye-Ochi — “The Destiny Eater” — roams the earth, feeding on the futures of the gifted and the anointed.

For generations, the village has suffered strange disappearances of children who showed extraordinary promise — a girl with healing hands, a boy who painted the future, a child who spoke in dreams. They all vanished... without a trace.

Fast-forward to the present.

Adaora, a bright and ambitious university student, returns to her late grandmother’s village for a short break. But she starts having vivid nightmares and waking visions — images of children crying in dark forests, and a shadowed figure watching her from trees, whispering her name. Her grandmother’s diary, locked in an iron box, speaks of a dark pact sealed in blood to protect the village — at the cost of its best and brightest.

When Adaora stumbles upon a hidden shrine beneath her grandmother’s compound, she unknowingly reawakens the Destiny Eater. The curse is active again — and it’s after her.

As her dreams begin turning into reality, and her health and ambition start to fade, she uncovers the terrifying truth: her bloodline is linked to the spirit’s origins. With the help of a skeptical pastor, a blind seer, and a relic carved from an ancient iroko tree, Adaora must stop the spirit before it devours her completely — and unleashes itself upon the world.

But the Destiny Eater cannot be killed… only transferred.

And it’s hungry.

"It doesn’t kill you… it consumes who you were born to become."
