The story of Easter is a story of sorrow (death) transitioning to joy (life) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we celebrate the event of Jesus' resurrection, may our sorrows turn to joy, our struggles turn to triumph, and our weaknesses turn to strength. May hope, love, and renewal fill our hearts. May we experience God's presence in every area of our lives and walk in victory in Jesus name.

THE CONSTANCY OF GOD'S NATURE IN CHRIST ASSURES US THE CONSTANCY OF HIS LOVE

Human nature is susceptible to change, influenced by life's circumstances, but God's essence remains constant. The adage "change is the only constant" does not apply to Christ, the crucified. This principle holds true only among humans. In fact, riches, lack, sickness, poverty, environment, humiliation, and position can all shape human behaviour, leading to change. Yet, God, as revealed in the crucified Christ, remains immutable, and constant embodying the fullness of the invisible God.

The Bible tells us that: "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form" (Colossians 2:9).

Thus, unlike humans, Christ's humanity, humiliation, crucifixion, and gracious acts all manifested the fullness of God that is constant. In his humanity, Christ's divine power was not reduced which is why the grave could not hold Him.

Jürgen Moltmann aptly puts it: "When the crucified Jesus is called the 'image of the invisible God', the meaning is that this is God, and God is like this. God is not greater than he is in this humiliation. God is not more glorious than he is in this self-surrender. God is not more powerful than he is in this helplessness. God is not more divine than he is in this humanity. The nucleus of everything that Christian theology says about 'God' is to be found in this Christ event. The Christ event on the cross is a God event. And conversely, the God event takes place on the cross of the risen Christ. Here God has not just acted externally, in his unattainable glory and eternity. Here he has acted in himself and has gone on to suffer in himself. Here he himself is love with all his being."

As human nature changes, so also his nature of love does towards others. However, the immutability of God's nature informs and assures the constancy of God's love for us in Christ. God's love for us through the crucified Christ is not shaped by circumstances or advice and influence of people but by his unchanging nature of love. He does not take the counsel of the wicked against anyone. That is why all the fall and die prayers, you will never make it in life prayers, by those who unjustly hate you has not changed God's love towards you. Why hasn't God acted on those negative prayers?

It is simply because God has a plan for you. As Jeremiah 29:11 says: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Know that God's immutable nature ensures his plans and love for you remain constant unless you change your path.

WHEN EXPLOITERS POSE AS LEADERS

"Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a helpless people. A tyrannical ruler practices extortion, but one who hates ill-gotten gain will enjoy a long reign." (Proverbs 28:15-16)

Reflecting on these verses, this morning, my heart got congealed as these verses seem a exact depiction or mirror the oppressive traits or dark tyrannic reality traits about Nigeria's leaders. It is heartbreaking to see masses suffer and sleep in hunger amid plenty control by the few at detriment of majority. And we keep hearing are mere rhetorics without pragmatic results.

I pray for my country Nigeria,

Lord, raise up leaders who serve with integrity, wisdom, and compassion. Give them the heart of a shepherd, not a exploiter. Bless Nigeria with firm, selfless, and lamb-like leaders. May Your justice and righteousness guide their decisions for the liberation of poor helpless masses in Jesus name.

We are Under God's Watchful Eye

His eyes, upon the sparrow gaze,
Watching over us with loving ways.
Our strength in Him, our hearts declare,
He takes away our weakness, showing He cares.
The month of September bear testimony of God watchful eye over us

Therefore,
As we step into this new month, we come to you with hearts full of gratitude and hope. Thank you for your unwavering love and care. We are assured that we remain under your watchful eyes, precious in your sight, just as you tenderly watch over the sparrows (Matthew 10:29-31). Keep us sheltered under your loving wing, as the apple of your eye (Deuteronomy 32:10, Psalm 17:8). Protect us from harm, guide us through life's challenges, and grant us the fulfillment of your promises. Happy New Month and Happy Independence

Circumstances do not define our destination. Despite obstacles and challenges, we have the promise of victory through faith in God's power and love. Paul say, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed" (2 Cor. 4:8-9). Paul noted that "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Rom. 8:37). Lord, I am satisfied with your love because your love is the answer to all my challenges.

DO NOT PUT OFF THE LIGHT JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED IT.

I found this story interesting and I decided to share because it's full of Moral lesson for our time.
Here goes the story. You will not regret reading it.

"Yesterday I visited a friend of mine, who is blind. And because it was night he did something that taught me a lesson.

Upon entering the house, he switched on the light.
And I asked him "why did you put on the light yet you can't see?"
He laughed for a long time, switched off the light and went to the kitchen.

After a short while he came with a pot of tea and eggs, placed them perfectly well on the table and switched on the light again.

What he said made me shed tears because he said to me, Mr. G ..... *I did not put on the light for my own sake or because I needed it, I did it for you because you needed it since you are not blind like me".*

Then he asked me, Mr. G,
*How many times have you switched off the light for other people and denied them an opportunity to see light just because you yourself do not need it?"*

I thought about that so deeply, and now I am asking you the same question today.

*How many times have you put off your lights and denied others an opportunity to see the light while they are in darkness?*

Why would you let your accounts grow to millions and even billions while your brother's child is going barefooted?

Why would you put clothes you don't wear in the bin while someone out there is almost going naked?

Why would food rot in your house while there is someone out there sleeping hungry?

Why will you see a business opportunity and hide it without sharing with your friends when you know you won’t use it?

Why will you be in a position to help someone get a promotion or a new job and you keep it because the person is not from your family, tribe or religion?

*Why will you defame your brother or sister just because you don't want someone to help them?*

*Each of the questions above is equivalent to switching “Off The Light”*

These are the things we should be mindful of as human beings.
This is true religion, helping the needy and being there for those who do not have a voice.

*Please turn on the lights you switched Off!"
