JUSTINA AZUKA MAKES HISTORY AS FIRST ADC CANDIDATE TO WIN AN ELECTION

Onitsha North 1, Anambra State, the people of Onitsha North 1 have written their names in the sands of time by electing Justina Azuka as the first candidate to win an election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement issued shortly after the polls, the Justina Azuka Campaign Organization expressed profound gratitude to the constituents for their overwhelming support, patience, and peaceful conduct during the election.

“Your remarkable turnout and commitment to democracy reflect the resilient spirit of our people,” the statement read.

Special appreciation was also extended to former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, whose inspiration and support were described as instrumental in the campaign’s success.

Regardless of the political outcome, the campaign organization emphasized its appreciation for the trust and encouragement shown by the electorate, noting that the election has once again demonstrated that democracy is alive and thriving in Onitsha North 1.

Education no be scam, ooooo! One Pela, a TikToker who is barely educated but recently mocked scholars by inviting master's degree holders for an interview and ended up using them for content creation, was ignorantly bragging on TVC channel about how he's making millions daily using TikTok. Now, the Lagos government has sent him a bill for over 30 million naira for personal income tax, which is a lot to pay. He's crying that he's not a government worker and that he's not working anywhere. His ignorance of how taxes work won't stop him from paying it, oooo! That's the price of ignorance.

Governor Uba sani again return two days to bye election in the same local government to flag off another road construction while the first one is not done.

Kaduna Tertiary Institutions Union Gives Govt Seven-Day Ultimatum Over Unmet Demands

The Joint Union of Tertiary Institutions of Kaduna State (JUTIKS) has given the state government a seven-day deadline to meet its long-standing demands or face an indefinite strike starting August 19. JUTIKS is made up of workers from Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria; Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya; Kaduna State College of Nursing Sciences; and Shehu Idris College of Health Sciences and Technology, Makarfi.

In a communiqué issued after a meeting in Kaduna, and signed by Christopher Yarima, Chairman of COEASU Gidan Waya; Abubakar Abdullai, Chairman NASU Makarfi; Abubakar Aliyu, Chairman SSANIP, NBPZ; and other union leaders, the group expressed doubts about the government’s willingness to implement the Consolidated Polytechnics and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Salary Structure (CONPCASS) and the Consolidated Tertiary Educational Institutions Salary Structure (CONTEDISS), which have been pending for 15 years.

While appreciating Governor Uba Sani’s Executive Order approving a 65-year retirement age for academic staff, the union noted that the exclusion of non-academic staff was unacceptable. They are demanding the immediate implementation of the salary structures and an amendment of the retirement policy to include non-academic staff without extra conditions.
