Insecurity: Dr. Chukwuka tells FG to act, to cure, not treatment or talk
...as he said Russia is ready to provide necessary assistance to Nigeria...
The Former Vice presidential candidate of Action Alliance (AA) in 2023, and now members of DLA, Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka, on Tuesday took a swipe at the Federal Government over the worsening wave of insecurity across the country, declaring that “enough is enough” and urging authorities to abandon mere rhetoric for decisive, intelligence-driven action against criminal elements.
Speaking at voice of the people TV, (VOP THIS MORNING) in Abuja, Chukwuka said the continued killings in different parts of Nigeria have left citizens living in fear, insisting that FG must cure not treating like sickness because the primary responsibility of any government is to guarantee the safety of lives and property.
The distguish Neurosurgeon, stressed that while prayers remain important, they cannot substitute for effective intelligence gathering, coordinated security operations and the arrest and prosecution of those sponsoring criminal activities.
“The killings must stop. Nigerians should be able to travel freely from one part of the country to another without fear. Security agencies must work together, share intelligence and ensure the safety of lives and property,” he declared.
Dr Chukwuka lamented that insecurity has become so alarming that many Nigerians now avoid travelling by road, while the soaring cost of air transport has placed safer alternatives beyond the reach of millions.
According to him, the growing climate of fear is hurting businesses, disrupting economic activities and undermining public confidence in the country’s security architecture.
