Haruna is a dynamic, goal-oriented professional with over five years of experience across diverse industries, including Oil and Gas (Upstream and Downstream), Renewable Energy, and Enterprise Digital Transformation and Strategy. Known for his exceptional leadership, Haruna is driven by a commitment to continuous professional growth and has been recognized among the top 1% of young professionals selected for the SAP Young Professionals Program (YPP) West Africa 2. He is a certified SAP Application Consultant with specialized expertise in SAP Business Integration with S/4HANA (TS410), SAP EAM (PM), and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Haruna’s accomplishments have earned him several prestigious accolades. He was named the City Winner of the 2020 Multi-City Africa Challenge, a program sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme, the University of New York, and African Cities. In his most recent role, Haruna led Production Accounting as a Business Technology Consultant and currently serves as the Lead Content Creator for the Petroleum Technical Section of The Way Ahead Magazine, published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) International. He was honored with the Outstanding Lead Content Creator Award by SPE’s The Way Ahead, contributing to his impressive record of 25 academic and professional awards.
Haruna holds a master’s degree in Production and Industrial Engineering (with Distinction) from Sharda University and a first-class honours degree in Petroleum Engineering from Igbinedion University. Currently, he is a student researcher with the Energy and Power Group at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. His research interests focus on the transformative applications of emerging technologies in society.
