STATE OF THE VGN

Contrary to unpopular opinion, the Vigilante Group of Nigeria is one and which management team consist of democrats, technocrats, serving and retired senior military and paramilitary personnel, lead by Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi; Commander General Vigilante Group of Nigeria.

As it stands, not until the supreme court upturn the ruling upholding Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi as the Substantial Commander General, any callous opinion is irrelevant and has no substance.

The Appeal Court declared Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi as the Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria and this ruling by the court is still binding on all members of the VGN.

Recently, some members of the VGN management team met with top government officials both at the National Assembly and the National Executive when the issue of the VGN bill was robustly analysed. The outcome of the meeting was appraising and hopefully, going by what was discussed, the Bill will be signed into law before the end of the first quarter of year 2024.

Also, one of the major resolution raised during the meeting is: the Commander General Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi must compile and submit complete data of all members of VGN, board members, Management team and Executives before the end of the first quarter of the year 2024.

While we await the big announcement, I call on all members of VGN to approach their State Commander for proper capturing and documentation.

On the sad side, between January and September 2023, the VGN lost over 66 gallant officer and men to banditry, kidnapping and communal violence. They are heroes, not falling but standing tall in our hearts forever. May their souls rest in peace.

The federal government is presently designing a template that will oversee the projected number for Vgn members, location of the National Headquarters and concurrent policies that will finance the full implementation of VGN in all the

The Commander General Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi receives the Officers and Men of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria under the leadership of Bakori.

The group was led by the lokoja local government Commander, Hassan Dikko who spoke on behalf of his over 5000 personnel. According to him, they have come to pledge their loyalty and are willing and ready to work under the Command of Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi.

Hassan Dikko states that they have been lost for a very long time but that their research and findings have shown them that the true Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria is Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi.

Dikko uses the opportunity to call on Bakori and his followers to return to the leadership of Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi noting that he has been the one meeting both past and present presidents and vice presidents of Nigeria to push for VGN success.

Kogi state Commander welcomes the group and encourage them never to relent on their selfless service to Nation building. He pledges an open door policy that will accommodate all in Kogi State.

The Commander General Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi wishes them a safe journey back to their base.

Update on the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill 2022 (HB.437) as amended 2023.

Dr. Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi, Commander General, Vigilante Group of Nigeria in company of Deputy Commander General, Ibrahim Adaji and the National Public Relations Officer, Commamder Philip Amanyi today (24th January, 2023) met with the Senate leader, Sponsor of the VGN Bill, Distinguish Senator Ibrahim Gobir.

The Senate Leader, Distinguish Senator Ibrahim Gobir requested the presence of the Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi in his office to give him brief on the recently passed VGN bill by the National Assembly on the 17th January, 2023.

On arrival, A senior security officer of the Sergeant-at-Arms in National Assembly received Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi and immediately led him to the office of the Senate leader, Dr Ibrahim Gobir.

The Senate Leader who is from sokoto state briefed the Commander General and pledges his continuous support for the VGN. He promised to meet with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria within the shortest of time to intimate him of the need to sign the bill into law.

Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun fsi thanked the sponsor of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria Bill, Dr Senator Ibrahim Gobir and other members of the National Assembly for the timely consideration of the bill.
