Sabinus, Taooma, Emerge Top Skit Makers In Q2, 2022

Skit makers, Mr Funny aka Sabinus and Taooma, have emerged the top skit makers in the second quarter of the year 2022 on Instagram.

This was revealed in the quarterly insights published by data intelligence and global digital eco-system firm, Dataleum on Monday.

While Mr Funny, who won the Online social content creators' award at this year’s AMVCA emerged the top Male Instagram Skit Maker in the second quarter, Maryam Apaokagi aka Taooma, clinched the top spot in the female category.

In the quarter under review, Mr Funny, whose real name is Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, garnered 44 million views from his skits and reels and gained over 800,000 followers on Instagram.

Taooma got 24.2 million views from her skits and reels on Instagram and ended the quarter with four million followers compared to 3.5 million as of March 2022.

Other skit makers spotlighted include Broda Shaggi, The Cute Abiola, Brainjotter, Lasisi, Realsophy, Kiekie, Ashmusy and Nons Miraj.

BREAKING: Actress, Funke Akindele, Confirms She’s Lagos PDP Gov Candidate’s Running Mate

…Drops Husband’s Name

Actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, has confirmed that she is the running mate to Olajide Adediran, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State.

In a video she posted on Tuesday, she revealed her reasons.

She said, “I saw it as an opportunity to help liberate and improve the wellbeing of our people, particularly the deprived youth, women and the girl child.

"My decision is not just to accept this huge responsibility but to also work tirelessly and complement Jandor’s burning desire to see our dear Lagos live up to its full potential.”

Meanwhile, when she said her name at the end of the video, the Ikorodu-born indigene of Lagos didn’t include her husband’s name, Bello.

APC ADVISE TINUBU TO PICK FEMALE RUNNING MATE

The All Progressives Congress - (APC), Ghana chapter, has urged the party’s presidential candidate, Senator Bola Tinubu, to pick a female as his running mate.

The Chairman, Mr. Oghenosa Micheletti made the appeal in a statement on Friday, recalled that Tinubu, who fielded a female running mate, Mrs Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele (1999-2003), helped him run a successful government.

EFCC ARREST 140 SUSPECTED YAHOO BOYS

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested 140 suspected yahoo-yahoo boys in ikorodu, Lagos State.

The agency stated that the arrest was from different operations in popular hotels in the area and also seized their exotic cars, gadgets, laptops and phones.

The suspects are between the age of 16 to 40. Meanwhile, four suspects has been released due to lack of evidence against them.
