The National Ngizim Youth Forum made a groundbreaking move today by paying a courtesy visit to Senator Mohammed Hassan Dambu, fondly known as Turakin Potiskum, at his residence in Abuja. This historic visit marked the beginning of a remarkable partnership, as the senator was formally presented with an appointment letter as Patron of the forum.

During the visit, the team delved into pressing issues affecting the nation, with a particular focus on the current political landscape and the leadership dilemma facing Yobe State and Nigeria as a whole. Gov. Buni Takes Over Chairmanship of Lake Chad Basin Governors' Forum

The Governors of the Lake Chad Basin from Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon and Chad, have unanimously elected Yobe state Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON COMN as Chairman of the Governors' Forum.

Governor Buni was elected on Friday at the end of the 5th Lake Chad Basin Governors' Forum Meeting held in Maiduguri.

The meeting hosted by the Yobe State Government was declared open by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima GCON.

Gov. Buni in his acceptance speech commended President Tinubu for providing leadership to the country and region at a very difficult time.

He appreciated his colleagues the Governors of the Lake Chad Basin region,
delegates and all other stakeholders for attending and contributing to the success of the meeting. 0

"I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola
Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his leadership and commitment to peace, security, and
development of the Lake Chad Basin region.

"I am convinced that, we have made our stay here in the last few days very memorable and fruitful; with justice done to the theme of the meeting "Rebuilding the Lake Chad Basin: Consolidating Gains, Commitment to Peace, Cross-Border Cooperation, Security, and Sustainable Development for a Resilient Community” he said.

Gov. expressed hope saying "as the host governor l hope we will internalize, domesticate and act on the lessons and resolutions of this meeting; to move forward from discussions to an all-inclusive action packed implementation that ensures everyone is carried along for the growth and development of the region .

"Therefore, we look forward to a more rebust partnership, support and the needed resource allocation for us to individually and collectively actualize our shared ambition of building a better and prosperous region for our people.

It is gratifying that as we celebrate the successful end of this meeting, my colleagues have found me worthy of chairing the forum for the next two years.
I wish to on behalf of my self, the government and people of Yobe state, commend and appreciate the decision of my colleagues for endorsing me as the new chairman of the Forum.
Let me use this opportunity to re-assure you my dear colleagues that, l shall serve with a great sense of responsibility, and the commitment deserving of the office.
l shall liaise and work closely with you and all the development partners for us to be on the same page to work for the success of the forum, and the general development of the region.
I specially thank the outgoing chairperson of this forum,
Her Excellency Ildjima Abdraman, Governor of Hadjer Lamis province, Chad for her

IN THE MEMORIES OF LATE ALH. MUHAMMADU IDRISS USAKU ( GUZA)

We commemorate the 8th anniversary of the passing of our Father the venerable Alh. Muhammadu Idriss Usaku (Guza), affectionately known as Wazirin Potiskum. His legacy continues to resonate deeply within our community, and his memory remains etched in our hearts.

As we reflect on his life and impact, we are reminded of the Quran's profound words in Surah Al-Imran, Verse 185: "Every soul shall taste death." This inevitability underscores the preciousness of life and the importance of living with purpose.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wassalam (peace be upon him) said: "The believer's soul is a bird that perches on the trees of Paradise, eating from their fruits and taking rest in their shade." (Hadith, Narrated by Abu Dawud)

May Alh. Muhammadu Guza's soul find eternal peace and solace in the gardens of Paradise. We pray that his legacy continues to inspire us to live with compassion, wisdom, and kindness.

As we honor his memory, let us also recall the Quran's words in Surah Al-Mu'minoon, Verse 1: "Successful indeed are the believers." May we strive to emulate the virtues of the believers, just as Alh. Muhammadu Idriss Usaku (Guza) did during his lifetime.

May Allah continue to bless his family and loved ones with strength, patience, and comfort.

The visionary legacy of the late Wazirin Potiskum lives on through the LAMG FOUNDATION, a testament to his altruistic spirit and commitment to uplifting the downtrodden. During his lifetime, his philanthropic endeavors had a profound impact on the lives of the vulnerable and needy, leaving an indelible mark on the community.

As we reflect on his selfless contributions, we are reminded of the Quranic verse: "And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive." (Surah Al-Insan, Verse 8)

May the LAMG FOUNDATION continue to embody the late Wazirin Potiskum's values of compassion, empathy, and generosity, inspiring future generations to follow in his footsteps.

The APC State Chairman in Yobe, Alh Muhammad Gadaka Madakin Gudi, has praised Governor Mai Mala Buni for his outstanding achievements in transforming Yobe State into a haven of peace and progress. He urged participants at the Lake Chad Basin Governor's Forum to foster an atmosphere of peace, harmony, and unity.¹
Governor Mai Mala Buni has indeed made significant strides in Yobe State, particularly in education and healthcare. His administration has spent over 2.1 billion Naira on constructing model primary schools and has also facilitated the return of many internally displaced persons (IDPs) by reconstructing their homes and providing livelihood support packages.
The Chairman of the National Ngizim Youth Forum, Hon. Sa'idu Mohammed Guza, has also expressed gratitude to Alh Muhammad Gadaka Madakin Gudi for his kindness and support for vulnerable individuals, especially in healthcare. This gesture underscores the importance of community and social responsibility in leadership.
We commend Alh Muhammad Gadaka Madakin Gudi for his selfless efforts in providing free medical treatment to those afflicted with severe illnesses across Yobe State. His kindness embodies the Islamic values of compassion and generosity.
As the Qur'an states in Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 195: "And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw yourselves into destruction.Alh Muhammad Gadaka's actions demonstrate his commitment to spending in the way of Allah, bringing relief to those in need.
The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wassalam (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of leadership and justice, saying: "The leaders are guardians, and they will be responsible for their wards." (Hadith, Narrated by Abu Dawud)
Alh Muhammad Gadaka's leadership exemplifies this hadith, as he takes responsibility for the well-being of his constituents. We pray that Allah continues to bless and guide him in his endeavor.
May his efforts be a source of inspiration to all, and may we strive to emulate his generosity and compassion. As the Qur'an says in Surah Al-Imran, Verse 92: You will not attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love.
Indeed, Alh Muhammad Gadaka has demonstrated his love for humanity through his selfless acts. May Allah reward him abundantly, and may we all continue to support one another in the spirit of generosity and kindness.
