Journey I did on van.
I was to travel from my state to another state, I had never traveled before.
The zee to travel make I can't just wait, I was told not to travel that day, because it won't be easy to get bus around 2pm.
But, to me it was a waste of time, I didn't listen to anyone, I insisted on traveling.
However, when I reached the park, there was no where to find vehicles, all the buses were to travel the next day.
I couldn't hold my desire to travel, as I was moving around in the park I discovered one van loading good's from Benue to Kano.
I asked the driver can you please take to Kaduna?
He answered "yes" without asking me the point I want to be dropped.
He said "you will pay 2k" I replied no problem. I paid the transport fair demanded and boarded the van.
Before then I was going to meet my brother in Kagoro. But, on my way, when we passed Lafia I was stressed and started sleeping.
The driver not knowing exactly where I was going, he continued accelerating the van even as we passed Kagoro.
I was deeply asleep, when the driver reached one village he worked me up, "young man where exactly are you going?
With sleep in my eyes I asked him hmmm?
He answered " hmmm!" Because we are almost out of Kaduna. "
My clear, my head grow big, my breath blocked, calming my self I asked did we reach Kagoro?
He answered, "about five hours ago, we passed Kagoro since".
With heavy heart I asked what can I do now? The driver knowing it was very deep in the night.
He answered " you will sleep here and board another vehicle in the morning back to Kagoro ".
It was about 11pm in the night, the journey l planned to do that day has however, could not be achieved, the cost of the journey increased.
Stress increased, the dangers also increased. My first time sleeping where I didn't even know the name of the village sleep in.
It was a whole new and bad experience all together I struggle to understand it was not easy.
Moral: sometimes listening to advice of those who passed through the journey we want to embarked on save time and money.
Conclusion: seek advice for any thing you are doing for the first time. Save your time, reduced the risk, reduced the cost.
