The Behind Bars Human Rights team in Kwale has successfully recovered ₦600,000 from the police. The amount was allegedly extorted from a young man traveling from Ozoro during a stop-and-search operation.

Tens¡on has erupted between the Utagba-Uno Umuseti and Akoku-Uno communities following an alleged v¡olent attack. Reports indicate that members of the Utagba-Uno Umuseti community ¡nvaded Akoku-Uno, sh00ting sporadically and setting several houses @ze. The incident has left residents in fe@r and displaced many families. Community leaders are calling on security agencies and the Local Government authorities to intervene urgently to prevent further escalation of the cr¡s¡s.

The Ukwuani Mass Transit System has officially commenced operations. It was launched by the Executive Chairman of Ukwuani LG, Hon. (Barr.) C.S. Possible Ajede, in celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Day. The initiative is aimed at easing transportation costs within Ukwuani LGA.
