Bichi First FC played in the Kano State FA Cup final against Barau FC.
The match took place on Monday, April 26, 2026, at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, which serves as the home ground of Barau FC in the Premier League.
Bichi First FC reached the final after defeating Kano Pillars in the semi-final played on Friday, April 24, 2026. The match ended 0–0 in regulation time before Bichi First secured a 4–2 victory on penalties.
The team’s head coach, Abubakar Musa (Abubakar Senior), praised the efforts of his players and commended them for their determination and strong performance in the final.
He added that despite the 3–2 defeat, it does not mean the players did not give their best. He emphasized that football comes with both victory and defeat, and both must be accepted.
The match was attended by several distinguished guests, including Sharif Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan, Chairman of Kano State Football Association; Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu, representative of the Nigeria Sports Writers Association; Kabiru Dan KB, Team Manager of Bichi First FC; Dominic Lorfor, General Manager of Barau FC; and other notable dignitaries.
