Kano Emirate Council has reaffrmed its commitment to work with the Ministry of Rural and Community Development towards the success of the Data collection and sector engagement for sustainable development (D4SRCD)

The Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sunusi II stated this today while receiving the Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Hon Abdulqadir Abdulsalam who paid him a courtesy visit in his palace.

Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi directed all the 44 local government District Heads to support the move to enable the ministry achieve its goals for the rapid development of the state.

He thanked the state Governnor Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Commissioner for Rural and Community Development Hon Abdulkadir Abdussalam for initiating the Data Collection program across the 44 local government areas in the state.

Earlier the Commissioner, Alh Abdulkadir Abdussalam said they were at Emir's palace to solicit his support to the Data Collection exercise across the 44 local governments.

The Commissioner explained that the Data collection was meant to develop the state through the provision of social amenities such as roads, electrification, drainage and Culverts among others.

He thanked the emir for his support and cooperation towards achieving government policies and programs initiated by Governor Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf for the development of the state.

Other places visited by the Commissioner nclude Municipal local government secretariat where he met with local government chairman.

In his remarks, the Municipal Local Government Chairman, Alh Salim Hashim assured of their support and cooperation towards effective Data collection in the area.

The state government has reaffirmed commitment construct the road from KWANKWASO to Kanwa town in Madobi local government area.

The state Commissioner for Rural and Community development, Hon Abdulqadir Abdulsalam disclosed this while flagging off the construction of the road from KWANKWASO to KANWA town.

Alh Abdulkadir Abdussalam said the state government is ready to complete the road at the stipulated time.

He used the opportunity to call on people of the area to cooperate with the contractor handling the project for its speedy completion.

In his remarks, the the chairman of Madobi local government Council, Alh Suleiman Danazumi assured of their support and cooperation to the Contractor for its successful completion.

Member representating Madobi at the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon Suleiman Muktar Madobi, the SSA to the Governor on political matters Hon Sunusi Surajo Kwankwaso and the representative of the District Head of Madobi, the ward Head of Madobi, Alh Umar Muhammad Alh LURWAN Umar Kanwa were among dignitaries that attended the occasion.

Kano State Government has reaffirmed commitment to roads construction across the 44 local government areas in the state.

The State Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Hon Abdulqadir Abdulsalam stated this today in his Sallah Message to the people of the state.

Alh Abdulkadir Abdulsalam said Kano state government under the leadership of Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf would do everything possible towards improving the living standard of Communities across the state.

The Commissioner therefore called on people to continue to pray for the present administration to enable it meet the needs and aspiration of the citizenry.

Alh Abdulkadir Abdulsalam further Congratulated the state Governor Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sunusi ll and the entire people of the state on the occasion of this year's Eid el Kabir celebration.

Kano State Ministry for Rural plans to collaborate towards the production of manure for rural farmers.

Kano State Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Alh Abdulqadir Abdulsalam has disclosed plans by the ministry to collaborate with relevant government agencies, ministries and the private sector towards the production of local manure for rural farming Communities across the state.

Alh Abdulkadir Adussalam announced this at a meeting with other government agencies and ministries and representatives of the private sector held at the conference hall of the ministry.

He pointed out that as the cost of fertilizer is becoming prohibitive for farmers to afford, there is a need for alternative means for the farmers.

The Commissioner explained that the ministry for Rural and Community Development and its Agriculture counterpart, KNARDA as well as Environment Ministry are collaborating with the private sector for solution.

He said the modern method of producing the local manure would enhance Agricultural production thereby reducing rural urban drift.

Alh Abdulkadir Adussalam Salam said the materials for the production of the local manure will be sourced locally using four major markets in Kano Metropolis; 'Yankaba, 'Yanlemo and the Abbotoir.

In addition he said the government is looking into the possibility of dissilting some earth dams across the state to support farmers across the state to produce more food for the state and the nation at large.

The Commissioner further said the production Cetres for the local manure could be sited in the three Senatorial Zones to train Youths across the 44 local government areas of the state on the production process.

Earlier, a representative of the private sector who made some presentations at the meeting, Alhaji Muktar Ahmad Wali commended the Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Alh Abdulkadir Adussalam for the bold initiative which if put into fruition would bring an end to the problem of fertilizer facing our local farmers.

Kano State Government has reaffirmed commitment to assist Women and Youths across the 44 local government areas in the state.

The state Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Alh Abdulqadir Abdulsalam stated this today at the opening ceremony of a two day Workshop with the Theme: 'Modern tools better Harvest' targeted to train and empower 200 selected Youths on the usage of modern farming machineries across the 44 local government in the state.

Alh Abdulkadir Abdussalam said the ministry for Rural in collaboration with Alyamadi company limited organized the Seminar to encourage self reliance amongst youths.

Alh Abdulkadir Abdussalam assured that the state government under the leadership of Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf would continue to provide a substantial amount of money for the provision of modern farming tools across the 44 local governments of the state.
The Commissioner used the opportunity to call on the participants to continue to pray for the present administration to enable it deliver its mandate successfully.

He called on the participants to put into practice what they learnt at the Seminar.

Earlier, one of the Resource persons, malam Faruk Muhammad presented a paper on the tools for modern farming for youths.

He thanked Kano state Governor Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Ministry for Rural for their maximum support and cooperation towards the successful conduct of the Seminar.

One of the participants, Malam Yakubu Hassan Rano expressed appreciation to the state governmentmt and ministry for rural and community for their efforts to organize the Seminar and pledged to make the best use of what they learnt during the Seminar.
