Kano Emirate Council has reaffrmed its commitment to work with the Ministry of Rural and Community Development towards the success of the Data collection and sector engagement for sustainable development (D4SRCD)
The Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sunusi II stated this today while receiving the Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Hon Abdulqadir Abdulsalam who paid him a courtesy visit in his palace.
Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi directed all the 44 local government District Heads to support the move to enable the ministry achieve its goals for the rapid development of the state.
He thanked the state Governnor Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Commissioner for Rural and Community Development Hon Abdulkadir Abdussalam for initiating the Data Collection program across the 44 local government areas in the state.
Earlier the Commissioner, Alh Abdulkadir Abdussalam said they were at Emir's palace to solicit his support to the Data Collection exercise across the 44 local governments.
The Commissioner explained that the Data collection was meant to develop the state through the provision of social amenities such as roads, electrification, drainage and Culverts among others.
He thanked the emir for his support and cooperation towards achieving government policies and programs initiated by Governor Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf for the development of the state.
Other places visited by the Commissioner nclude Municipal local government secretariat where he met with local government chairman.
In his remarks, the Municipal Local Government Chairman, Alh Salim Hashim assured of their support and cooperation towards effective Data collection in the area.
