THE WORD OF GOD: YOUR DIVINE GUIDE FOR DESTINY 2

SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 1:3 KJV: Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

The Word of God is the light that eliminates confusion. When God speaks, darkness disappears. Psalm 119:105 declares that His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. There are seasons when you feel stuck unsure about relationships, career, ministry, or next steps. In such moments, the Word becomes God’s GPS. It does not only reveal the destination; it guides your steps progressively.

The entrance of the Word (Psalm 119:130) brings understanding. That means confusion cannot survive where the Word is present.Beloved, When you lack direction, it is not because God is silent it is because His Word has not yet been engaged deeply enough.

THE WORD OF GOD: YOUR DIVINE GUIDE FOR DESTINY

SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 1:3 KJV: Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

The Word of God is one of the greatest assets to the child of God. Acts 20:32 says, And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Life is full of crossroads moments where decisions determine destiny. Many struggle not because they lack desire, but because they lack direction. The Word of God is not just information; it is illumination. It shows you where to go and how to go.

WHEN BUSYNESS BECOMES A BARRIER TO PRAYER

SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 6:33 (KJV): But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Prayer thrives where there is time, attention, and priority. One of the greatest battles of this generation is not that people hate God it is that they are too busy for Him.
The enemy understands that if he cannot make you sinful, he may simply make you busy. Because a crowded life can produce an empty spirit.

Many believers are active but spiritually weak; occupied but disconnected from God. They run from one activity to another, yet have little or no time to pray. The tragedy is that we often excuse prayerlessness by calling it “being busy.”But God does not want our leftover time. He wants first place.

Jesus said we should seek first the kingdom of God. Not second, not after work, not after social media, not after entertainment first.
Prayer is the secret place where strength, direction, and divine help are obtained. Every great destiny is sustained by a strong prayer altar.

However, one of the subtle strategies the enemy uses in this generation is Busyness not necessarily sin, but excessive activities that leave no room for God. When life becomes too crowded, the first thing that often suffers is the place of prayer.

BUSYNESS BECOMES DANGEROUS WHEN:

📌 Busyness Shifts God from Priority to Option: When a person is too busy, God gradually moves from being first to being “when I have time. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God…” (Matthew 6:33) God must be sought first, not fitted in after everything else.

📌 Busyness Produces Spiritual Dryness: When there is no time to pray: your spiritual sensitivity reduces; you stop hearing God clearly; temptation becomes stronger; worry, anxiety, and confusion increase.A person who is constantly busy but never still before God may look productive outwardly, but inwardly they are becoming empty.

Beloved, the enemy often uses harmless things to keep believers away from prayer: Endless work, phones and social media, movies and entertainment,
unnecessary conversations, etc. Not everything that is good is necessary.

The Forces Behind Prayerlessness (Part3):Haughtiness

SCRIPTURE:
James 4:6 KJV:
“God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

Prayer is the highest expression of dependence on God. Every time you pray, you are acknowledging that you cannot do life on your own. Prayer says, “Lord, I need You.” That is why the enemy attacks prayer through pride because once a person feels self-sufficient, prayer becomes unnecessary in their eyes. Where there is no sense of need for God, there will be no altar of prayer.

Today, we will consider another force behind prayerlessness and how to overcome it.

3.Haughtiness(Pride) The Root Of Self-sufficiency : Pride is a silent destroyer of prayer life. It does not always appear as arrogance; sometimes it shows up as self-confidence without God, independence from divine help, or the belief that “I can handle this on my own. When pride takes root: you rely more on your ability than on God. You consult people more than you consult God. You act before you pray.
Prayerlessness is often a hidden manifestation of pride. A person who truly recognizes their limitations will naturally seek God.

Facts about Pride:

📌Pride Eliminates the Need for God: When a person feels sufficient in themselves, they see no reason to pray. Prayer becomes optional instead of essential. Pride says: “I can handle it.”
Humility says: “Without God, I can do nothing.”

📌 Pride Blocks Access to Grace:
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. This means pride not only stops prayer it also blocks answers. You may be praying, but pride can hinder your access to divine help. “Let us therefore come boldly…” (Hebrews 4:16) True boldness comes from humility, not pride.

A humble person knows they need God daily. He seeks God before making decisions. He depends on God for strength, wisdom, and direction.
Humility keeps the prayer altar burning.

Saints of God, pride fuels prayerlessness. Pride makes a person a god to himself. And once you become your own god, you see no need to seek another. This was the spirit of Lucifer as portrayed in Isaiah 14: 12-14. You will not fall in Jesus'Name

The Forces Behind Prayerlessness (Part 2)B: WORDLESSNESS

SCRIPTURE:
Hosea 14:2 (KJV): Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

We exposed one of the forces behind prayerlessness and how to overcome it. We will also consider another force behind prayerlessness.

2. WORDLESSNESS: Wordlessness is the absence of God's Word; it is another enemy of prayer. Prayer without the Word is like fire without wood, and where there is no wood, the fire goes out (Proverbs 26:20).
Wordlessness is a major cause of prayerlessness. When a believer is empty of the Word, they gradually lose the zeal, confidence, and consistency required for effective prayer.

The Word of God energizes, structures, and empowers prayer in the following ways:

📌The Word Reveals God’s Promises (The Basis of Prayer):
You cannot pray effectively if you do not know what God has said. The Word reveals God’s will, and prayer is most powerful when it aligns with His will. When you pray for the promises of God, you are not begging you are standing on covenant grounds. “Take words with you…” (Hosea 14:2)
God expects you to come to Him with His Word.

📌 The Word Gives Direction in Prayer:
The Word shows you what to pray, how to pray, and what to expect. “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you…” (John 15:7) When the Word abides in you, your prayers become aligned with God’s agenda and answers become inevitable.

The Forces Behind Prayerlessness (Part 2): WORDLESSNESS

SCRIPTURE:
Hosea 14:2 (KJV): Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

Prayer is not just talking to God it is engaging God on the basis of His Word. True prayer is a dialogue, not a monologue. It is God speaking through His Word and man responding in prayer.
Many believers pray, yet see little result not because God is unwilling to answer, but because their prayers lack Word foundation. Prayer that is not rooted in the Word becomes mere emotion, repetition, or empty religious activity.

The Word of God is the legal backing of prayer. It is what gives prayer authority in the realm of the Spirit. Just like a lawyer cannot win a case without evidence, a believer cannot prevail in prayer without the Word. When the Word is absent, prayer becomes weak. But when the Word is present, prayer becomes powerful, effective, and result-oriented.

The Forces Behind Prayerlessness (Part 1)B: SinThe Destroyer of Prayer Altars

SCRIPTURE:
LUKE 18:1,8 KJV: He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint. I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?

Today, we expose one of the forces behind prayerlessness and how to overcome it.

1. SINFULNESS THE DESTROYER OF PRAYER ALTARS: Sin is the number one enemy of prayer. It silently weakens your desire to pray and destroys your connection with God.

Noted that:
✓ Sin kills your love for God.
✓ Sin destroys boldness in prayer.
✓ Sin creates separation from God.
A person living in sin will always struggle to pray because guilt replaces confidence.
