INAUGURATION OF PEACE AND RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE

In order to deepen unity among APC members in the state, the Chairman, APC Unity Caretaker Committee, Benue State, Chief Dr Benjamin Omale has set up a Peace and Reconciliation Committee that is to interface with party members across the state.

The 9- man committee which shall be inaugurated on Sunday September 22, 2024 at the State Secretariat of the party by 2pm and supervised directly by the State Chairman, Chief Benjamin Omale is constituted as follows:

3. Hon. Pst. Terngu Shawon

WOMBO COMMENCED DRILLING OF MODERN MOTORIZED BOREHOLES ACROSS KATSINA-ALA, UKUM & LOGO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

In fulfillment of his campaign promises of providing a lasting solution to perennial water challenges faced by some communities in Sankera, the Member Representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Hon. Solomon Wombo has commenced drilling of modern motorized boreholes across communities in Katsina-Ala, Ukum and Logo Local Government Areas.

Inspecting one of the facilities cited at Tine Nune, Mbatian Council ward of Ukum Local government, Hon Aondofa Chila disclosed that it is just the first phase of the program, assuring that more communities have been earmarked to benefit from the 2nd phase of the program.

He disclosed that some communities were not captured at the moment because of the security situation, assuring constituents, especially the Ukum Local government that more communities will benefit from very vital projects as soon as efforts to curb the menace of insecurity begin to yield meaningful results.

He stated that access to clean water is fundamental for communities, and we're thrilled to be at the forefront of this initiative. These modern boreholes will not only improve water supply but also enhance the quality of life for countless residents in these areas, he added.

Some of the benefitting communities in the first phase of the program include; Tine Nune in Ukum, Gondozua in Logo, Mbaton, and Abaji in Katsina-Ala local government among others.

WOMBO CONGRATULATES NGBEA, MZUNGWEVE AND OTHER APC CARETAKER COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The Member Representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo has congratulated Barr. Terhemen Ngbea, Hon. Richard Mzungweve and other members of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Benue State Chapter.

The Prince of Peace, in his message of congratulations, describes Barr. Ngbea as well dedicated and committed legal luminary who has served the party immensely and believes that he will contribute greatly to the success of the committee and the party at large.

On the other hand, the Lawmaker elucidates the wonderful contributions of Hon. Richard Mzungweve to the success of the party most especially at the time of electioneering and even within the short time he serves as the acting State Secretary of the party.

He characterized their inclusion into the 7- Man Caretaker Committee as superb and charged them to be focused and dedicated in discharging their duties.

Finally, he extends his warm felicitations to other members of the Caretaker Committee and encouraged them to work together as a team for the success of our great party. WOMBO TRAINED AND EMPOWERED YOUTHS/WOMEN ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS

The Honourable Member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo yesterday 20th August, 2024 organized a very impactful entrepreneurship and empowerment training on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for some selected Youths and Women across the 35 Council Wards in Sankera.

The trainees were properly and adequately trained on poultry farming and fish rearing and were equipped with broilers, fingerlings, fish feeds, movable ponds, feeders, cash etc. The event took place at the conference Hall of Dreams Hotels, Katsina Ala Local Government Area.

Addressing the participants, the Personal Assistant to the Honourable Member, Hon. Tertindi Abulum, charged participants make judicious use of the skills acquired as well as the products received. He noted that if properly handled, the program can help them to be financially independent.

Responding on behalf of the participants, Mr. Ver Felix from Logo, Miss Ngukulan Akaanger from Katsina-Ala and Mr. Gwanger Caleb from Ukum all commended Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo for the great opportunity granted to them and promised to make maximum use of the knowledge acquired as well as the products received.

Also speaking, the Chairman Katsina-Ala Local Government Council Hon. Justine Shaku, represented by his Deputy, Hon. Demkwagh Iorver applauded Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo for the good initiative and prayed to God to give him more grace to continue.

WE MUST STOP PLAYING POLITICS WITH HUMAN LIVES AND UNITE TO FIGHT THIS INTRACTABLE SECURITY SITUATION ~ HON. PRINCE SOLOMON WOMBO

The Member Representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo has called on elites and political leaders of Sankera extraction to stop playing politics with the lives of our people and unite to overcome insecurity in our locality with commitment, sincerity and honesty. As long as we do not present a common resolve, we shall continue to squabble among ourselves, while our dear homeland degenerates .

Hon. Solomon Wombo, represented by Hon. Chila Aondofa noted today in Ayati during a visit to the bereaved families of the recent massacre that took no fewer than 38 lives . The representative expressed deep sorrow over the incessant killing of his constituents and pledged to deploy any means necessary within his capacity and beyond as an individual and as a Lawmaker to ensure normalcy returned to the affected communities in Sankara Intermediate Area.

The Honourable Member decried that as a parliamentarian, he had no absolute or direct control over security agencies but could only draw attention, appeal to the responsible authorities for mitigation, and coordinate his constituents for meaningful deliberations which he has adequately done. He urged traditional rulers, politicians, and all stakeholders to unite and engage youth in our communities to find an acceptable solution to the insecurity in our zone .

Hon Wombo also revealed that he had also interacted extensively with the governor of the state over the insecurity in Sankera and was hopeful that very soon lasting measures shall be taken to address the situation.

The lawmaker condoled with the affected families and prayed to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the unforgettable incident and also grant their loved ones eternal rest.

Responding on behalf of the displaced community, the residence Pastor, NKST Ayati, Pastor Shimo thanked Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo for his generous donation to the bereaved families and appealed for more security so that the people could go back to their respective homestead and farms.
