Katsina United FC have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament in Katsina following a commanding 4–0 victory over Geewa FC at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
The Chanji Boys delivered an impressive performance from start to finish, controlling the game and producing four goals to underline their attacking strength and determination to go deep into the competition.
After a tightly contested opening period, Mubarak Sani broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute, giving Katsina United a deserved lead.
The forward quickly doubled the advantage just before the interval, converting a penalty in the 45th minute to send Katsina United into the dressing room with a comfortable 2–0 lead.
Katsina United continued their dominance after the restart and extended their advantage in the 70th minute, with Bakary finding the back of the net to make it 3–0.
The day was capped by a memorable moment in the 90th minute, when Umar Rabiu, popularly known as Dugui, scored to complete the 4–0 victory.
The goal was particularly significant for the youngster, who marked his first senior-team appearance with a goal, providing a promising glimpse of his potential.
