The President directed the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to come up with new fares for the exercise within two days.

‎KNSG Directs Petitions and Counter Petitions on Sheikh Lawan Triumph to Shura Council
‎
‎The Kano State Government has received several petitions and counterpetitions from faith-based Islamic religious organizations concerning the recent comments made by Sheikh Lawan Triumph in Kano.

His Excellency the Givernor of Kano State Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has granted clearance that the petitions be referred to the Kano State Shura Council for further deliberations

‎In a statement issued by Musa Tanko, Press Secretary to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the petitions were submitted by:

‎2. Tijjaniya Youth Enlightenment Forum

‎3. Interfaith Parties for Peace and Development

‎6. Imams of Juma’at Mosques under Qadiriyya Movement

‎7. Committee of Sunnah Preachers, Kano
‎
‎8. Multaqa Ahbab Alsufiyya

‎The SSG Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim has, on behalf of the government, directed that all petitions be forwarded to the State Shura Council for careful study and advice.

‎The Kano State Government reaffirms its commitment to maintaining peace, unity, and mutual respect among all religious groups in the state.
