*More updates on the Mufit Menk expected visit to Katsina State*

The renowned scholar Ismail ibn Musa Menk also popularly known as M***i menk who is expected to visit Katsina on Sunday 30th of June 2019 was invited by an Islamic Foundation "Light of Ummah" to deliver a public lecture in the state not in the university.

But in the meantime while he is in the state, he will seize the opportunity to pay a Special Visit to Al-Qalam University, Katsina.

The Muslim Student Society of Nigeria (MSSN) AUK chapter has been remarkably instrumental for the visit.

The date and venue of lecture will be announced soon

*Level 200 Economics Student Loses Father*

It is with deep sadness and heartfelt condolences that we announce the death of the father of a fellow alqalamist by name Jameelu Mu’azu who is a level 200 economics student in the varsity.

It is in this moments that we remember *ALLAH(S.W.T)* divine grace and mercy, we pray that may he in his infinite mercy, infinite forgiveness, and infinite grace forgive the deceased, may he also grant him access to Aljannatul firdaus and may he give the deceased's family the strength and courage to endure this painful loss. Ameen

*M***i Menk set to visit Katsina and deliver lecture in the varsity*

The famous and renowned Islamic Scholar Ismail ibn Musa Menk popularly known as M***i Menk who is known globally is set to visit Katsina on Sunday 30th of June 2019.

He has been named one of The 500 Most Influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Jordan in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
In 2018 he published a collection of his sayings as a book titled Motivational Moments and in 2019 published the second edition, titled Motivational Moments 2.[9]

The renowned scholar is also expected to visit Alqalam University Katsina as the first Islamic university in Nigeria,where he will deliver a public lecture in the university.

*Vice chancellor Appoints new Acting Dean of Social and management sciences*

The Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University Katsina *Prof. Shehu Garki Ado* has appointed Dr. *Bashir Abubakar Yusuf* as Acting Dean College of Social and Management Sciences.

The appointment with immediate effect is for a period of one year.

As Acting Dean, Dr. Bashir A. Yusuf is responsible for co-ordinating, guiding and supervising teaching, examinations, research and community development activities in all the departments of the College.

The Vice-Chancellor, *Prof. Shehu Garki Ado* congratulated Dr. Bashir urging him to remember *ALLAH(S.W.T)* and act without fear or favour to nurture the College to limelight.

Dr. Bashir is from the department of Business
Administration.
