🗣️ Enzo Maresca has confirmed Cole Palmer will be rested until after the international break as he manages a groin problem:

👉 “We decided to protect Cole and not let his injury get worse. He’ll rest for two to three weeks to hopefully recover 100%. I don’t think he needs surgery, it’s just about managing the pain.”

Meanwhile, Wesley Fofana will sit out the next 12 days with concussion symptoms following the Lincoln game – ruling him out of clashes against Brighton, Benfica and Liverpool.

On Axel Disasi’s chances with Tosin injured, Maresca was clear:
👉 “There is no information from the club to consider playing Axel, so it’s not currently an option.”

Positive news for Josh Acheampong who has recovered from illness and is expected to feature.

Trevoh Chalobah, however, remains a major concern – having played every single minute since the last international break, and likely to continue carrying the defensive burden. 🔵
