NASSI: YUNUSA 2:1-10
KAN MAGANA: ALLAH YANA AMSA ADDU’A

YUNUSA 2:1-10

1: Sai Yunusa ya yi addu'a ga Ubangiji Allah a cikin cikin kifin,

2: ya ce, “A cikin wahalata na yi kira gare ka, ya Ubangiji, Ka a kuwa amsa mini. Daga can cikin lahira na yi kira, Ka kuwa ji muryata.

3: Ka jefa ni cikin zurfi, Can cikin tsakiyar teku, Inda igiyoyin ruwa s**a kewaye ni, Kumfa da raƙuman ruwanka s**a bi ta kaina.

4: Na ce, an kore ni daga wurinka, Duk da haka zan sāke ganin Haikalinka mai tsarki.

5: Ruwa ya sha kaina, Tekun ta rufe ni ɗungum. Tsire-tsiren teku s**a naɗe kaina.

6: Na tafi can ƙasa ƙarƙashin tussan duwatsu. Ƙasar da ƙofarta take rufe har abada, Amma ka fitar da ni daga cikin ramin, ya Ubangiji Allahna.

7: Sa'ad da na ji raina yana rabuwa da ni, Sai na tuna da kai, ya Ubangiji. Addu'ata kuwa ta kai gare ka a Haikalinka tsattsarka.

8: Su waɗanda suke yin sujada ga gumaka marasa amfani Sun daina yi maka biyayya.

9: Amma ni zan raira yabbai gare ka, Zan miƙa maka sadaka, Zan cika wa'adin da na yi. Ceto daga wurin Ubangiji yake.”

10: Ubangiji kuwa ya umarci kifin, kifin kuwa ya amayar da Yunusa a gaɓar teku.

ALLAH YANA AMSA ADDU’A

Wace hanya ce mafi kyau don kammala jerin ayyukan bautar Allah a watan Satumba fiye da ta hanyar addu’a!

Daga mai da hankali ga al’amura na karshe a Wahyayin Yahaya, mun haura zuwa al’amura na siyasa ta duniya a Esta, kuma mun kare da batutuwan manufа a Yunusa. Muna da su duka a wuri daya ne.

Mun kammala da Yunusa yana addu’a a wani wuri da ba a saba gani ba: cikin cikin kifi! Wannan shine wuri na karshe da za ka bada shawarar gudanar da taron addu’ar ka! Amma kuma, Mulkin Allah yana fuskantarmu. Yana yin abubuwan al’ajabi a wuraren da ba a zata ba.

Addu’ar Annabi ita ce ta yabo, da sujada, da godiya ga Allah; i, har da Allahn da ya yi kokarin ya gujewa! A cikin wannan duka, Allah ya yi nasara!

Hakika ciyawa ta kan bushe, furanni kuma su yi yaushi, amma maganar Allah ba za ta taba faduwa ba (Ishaya 40:8). Muna tare da mai Zabura: Daga gabas zuwa yamma, a yabi sunan Ubangiji! Ubangiji yake mulkin dukan sauran al’ummai, daukakarsa tana bisa kan sammai, ba wani kamar Ubangiji Allahnmu. Yana zaune a can kwankolin Sama. (Zabura 113: 3-5).

Kamar yadda Ubangiji ya amsa addu’ar Yunusa daga cikin cikin kifin kuma ya sa ya amayar da shi a bakin teku, zai amsa addu’arka a yau. Amma ka tuna cewa kana da aikin da za ka yi masa. Ka shirya?

TAMBAYA:
Shin ka sami dalilin yin addu’a a wurare da yanayi da ba a saba gani ba?

ADDU’A:
Gare ka kai kadai dukan daukaka, da iko, da mulki sun tabbata har abada abadin. Amin.

TOPIC: GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS

JONAH 2:1-10 (NIV)

1: From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God.

2: He said: "In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry.

3: You hurled me into the depths, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me; all your waves and breakers swept over me.

4: I said, ’I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’

5: The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head.

6: To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you, LORD my God, brought my life up from the pit.

7: "When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, LORD, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple.

8: "Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them.

9: But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ’Salvation comes from the LORD.’"

10: And the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS

What better way to conclude our devotions in September than through prayer!

From focusing on matters of the end times in Revelation, we moved to matters of earthly politics in Esther, and we are ending with matters of mission in Jonah. We have it all wrapped up. We conclude with Jonah praying in an unusual place: the belly of a fish!

This is the last place you would suggest to hold your prayer meeting! But again, the Sovereignty of God confronts us. He does wonders in unexpected places.

The prophet's prayer is that of confession, adoration, and thanksgiving to God; yes, even the God he tried to run away from! In all these, na God win!

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of God stands forever (Isaiah 40:8). Like the psalmist says in Psalms 113:3-5, "From the rising of the sun to its coming down, the name of the LORD is to be praised..."

As the Lord answered Jonah's prayer from the belly of the fish and made it vomit him onto shore, He will answer your prayers today. But remember that you have work to do for Him. Are you ready?

QUESTION:
Have you had a reason to pray in unusual places and circumstances?

PRAYER:
To you alone be all the glory, power, and dominion, forever and ever, Amen.

10 Nigbana ni awọn ọkunrin na bẹ̀ru gidigidi, nwọn si wi fun u pe, Ẽṣe ti iwọ fi ṣe eyi? nitori awọn ọkunrin na mọ̀ pe o sá kuro niwaju Oluwa, nitori on ti sọ fun wọn.

11 Nigbana ni nwọn wi fun u pe, Kini ki a ṣe si ọ, ki okun le dakẹ fun wa? nitori okun ru, o si jà ẹfufu lile.

IṢẸ ÌYÌNRERE TI ỌLỌ́RUN

Ọlọ́run tí a ń sìn tẹjúmọ́ iṣẹ́ Rẹ̀. Ẹ rántí bí Ọlọ́run se rán Jónà lọ sí ilù Nínéfè láti wàásù fún àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ nitorí ìfẹ́ tí Ọlọ́run ní sí wọn.

Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé wòlíì kọ àṣẹ Ọlọ́run tí ó sì gbiyànju láti sá kúrò níwájú Ọlọ́run, Ọlọ́run ko kẹ̀rẹ̀; Ó múra tán láti lo ìráńṣẹ́ tí kò fẹ́ jíṣẹ́ láti se iṣẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ ìgbàlà àwọn ará Nínéfè.

TEXT: JONAH 1:9-17
TOPIC: THE MISSION-CENTRIC GOD

JONAH 1:9-17 (NIV)

9: He answered, "I am a Hebrew and I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land."

10: This terrified them and they asked, "What have you done?" (They knew he was running away from the LORD, because he had already told them so.)

11: The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him, "What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?"

12: "Pick me up and throw me into the sea," he replied, "and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you."

13: Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before.

14: Then they cried out to the LORD, "Please, LORD, do not let us die for taking this man’s life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, LORD, have done as you pleased."

15: Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.

16: At this the men greatly feared the LORD, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows to him.

17: Now the LORD provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

THE MISSION-CENTRIC GOD

We serve a God who is mission-focused. Recall how, for the love He had for the people of Nineveh, Jonah was sent to preach to them.

Though the prophet defied God's order and attempted to flee, God did not relent; He was going to use even an unwilling messenger to carry out His mission for the salvation of the Ninevites.

As a type of Christ, Jonah was offered to make appeasement for sin – when he was thrown overboard, the raging sea calmed down.

Think of the sailors who were not worshippers of Yahweh initially. However, in the drama that ensued, they saw the greatness of the God of Jonah, feared Him, offered sacrifices, and made vows to Him.

How else could these sailors have been evangelised? God planned that through even the disobedience of His servant, His salvific mission would be carried out!

God cannot be frustrated. His plan for the salvation of man cannot be thwarted. He would go to any extent to save man by even offering His one and only Son!

In what way are you keying into God's mission agenda? Why would you make the gospel so expensive for others by your disobedience? For God, mission is sacrosanct; it must be carried out.

As September draws to an end, pick up the challenge by availing yourself for missions; pray for it, give towards it, and go! Nothing matters more to God than seeing unsaved people saved.

QUESTION:
The salvation of people matters to God. What matters to you?

PRAYER:
Lord, please give me a heart for the unsaved, Amen.

9: Sai Yunusa ya ce, “Ni Ba'ibrane ne, ina bin Ubangiji Allah na Sama, wanda ya yi teku da ƙasa.”

10: Sai matuƙan jirgin s**a tsorata ƙwarai, s**a ce masa, “Wane irin mugun abu ne ka aikata haka?” Sun sani ya gudu ne daga wurin Ubangiji, gama ya riga ya faɗa musu.

11: Hadirin kuwa sai ƙaruwa yake ta yi. Matuƙan jirgin kuwa s**a ce masa, “Me za mu yi maka domin tekun ya lafa?”

12: Yunusa ya ce, “Sai ku ɗauke ni ku jefa ni cikin tekun, sa'an nan hadirin zai lafa. Gama na sani saboda ni ne wannan hadiri mai banrazana ya auko muku.”

13: Matuƙan jirgin kuwa s**a yi ta tuƙi da iyakar ƙarfinsu don su kai gaɓa, amma s**a kāsa domin hadirin yana ta ƙaruwa.

14: S**a yi kuka ga Ubangiji, s**a ce, “Ya Ubangiji, muna roƙonka kada ka bar mu mu halaka saboda ran mutumin nan, kada ka yi mana hukuncin masu kisankai, gama kai ne, ya Ubangiji, ka yi abin da ya gamshe ka.”

15: Sai s**a ɗauki Yunusa s**a jefa shi cikin teku, nan take teku ta lafa.

16: Sai matuƙan jirgin s**a ji tsoron Ubangiji ƙwarai, har s**a ba da sadaka, s**a kuma yi wa'adi ga Ubangiji.

17: Ubangiji kuwa ya umarci wani babban kifi ya haɗiye Yunusa. Yunusa kuwa ya yi yini uku da dare uku a cikin cikin kifin.

ALLAH DA AIKIN MISHAN

Muna bautawa Allahn da aikin mishan ne aikinsa. Ka lura da yadda aka aika Yunusa ya yi wa mutanen Nineba wa’azi don kaunar da Allah ya yi wa mutanen Nineba.

Duk da cewa Annabi ya bijirewa umarnin Allah kuma ya yi yunƙurin gudu, amma Allah bai canza ba; Zai yi amfani da ko da manzon da ba ya so ya yi aikinsa don ceton mutanen Nineba.

A matsayin sa na kwatancin Almasihu, an mika Yunana don a sami kwanciyar hankali saboda zunubi - sa’ad da aka jefa shi cikin ruwa, haukan teku ya lafa.

Ka yi tunanin ma’aikatan jirgin ruwa. Ba masu bautawa Allah Jehobah ba ne da farko. Duk da haka, a al’amarin mai ban mamaki da ya biyo baya, dukansu sun ga girman Allah na Yunusa, suna jin tsoronsa, sun mika hadayu, kuma sun yi masa alkawari.

Ta yaya kuma za a yi wa wadannan ma’aikatan jirgin bishara? Allah ya tsara cewa ko da ta wurin rashin biyayyar bawansa ne za a aiwatar da aikin cetonsa!

Ka ga Allah ba zai taba yin takaici ba. Ba za a iya dakile shirinsa na ceton mutum ba. Zai je ko’ina don ya ceci mutum, ta haka ne har ya mika Makadaicin Ɗansa!

Ta wacce hanya ka ke bibiyar manufar Allah? Shin kai bawa ne mai son zuciya kuma marar biyayya? Shin dole ne Allah ya tarwatsa jirgi, ya tsage, kuma ya sa wasu su rasa kayansu kafin su gamu da Allah? Me ya sa za ka sa bishara ta yi tsada ga wasu ta wurin rashin biyayyarka?

A wurin Allah, kai bishara ya zama dole. Wajibi ne a aiwatar da ita. Yayin da muke gangarowa zuwa karshen watan Satumba, dauki kalubalen don yin aikin mishan; Ka yi addu’a, ka bayar ka kuma tafi. Babu wani abu da yafi muhimmanci ga Allah kamar ganin an ceci mutanen da ba su da ceto.

TAMBAYA:
Ceton mutane Allah ya damu da shi. Me ke damu ka?

ADDU'A:
Ubangiji, Ina rokonka ka ba ni zuciyar kaiwa ga marasa ceto. Amin.

1 NJẸ ọ̀rọ Oluwa tọ̀ Jona ọmọ Amittai wá, wipe,

2 Dide, lọ si Ninefe, ilu nla nì, ki o si kigbe si i; nitori ìwa buburu wọn goke wá iwaju mi.

3 Ṣugbọn Jona dide lati sá lọ si Tarṣiṣi kuro niwaju Oluwa, o si sọkalẹ lọ si Joppa; o si ri ọkọ̀ kan ti nlọ si Tarṣiṣi: bẹ̃li o sanwo ọkọ, o si sọkalẹ sinu rẹ̀, lati ba wọn lọ si Tarṣiṣi lati sá kuro niwaju Oluwa.

4 Ṣugbọn Oluwa rán ẹfufu nla jade si oju okun, ijì lile si wà ninu okun, tobẹ̃ ti ọkọ̀ na dabi ẹnipe yio fọ.

5 Nigbana ni awọn atukọ̀ bẹ̀ru, olukuluku si kigbe si ọlọrun rẹ̀, nwọn ko ẹrù ti o wà ninu ọkọ dà sinu okun, lati mu u fẹrẹ. Ṣugbọn Jona sọkalẹ lọ si ẹ̀gbẹ́ ọkọ̀; o si dubulẹ sùn wọra.

6 Bẹ̃li olori-ọkọ̀ tọ̀ ọ wá, o si wi fun u pe, Kini iwọ rò, iwọ olõrun? dide, kepe Ọlọrun rẹ, boya Ọlọrun yio ro tiwa, ki awa ki o má bà ṣegbé.

7 Olukuluku wọn si wi fun ẹgbẹ rẹ̀ pe, Wá, ẹ si jẹ ka ṣẹ keké, ki awa ki o le mọ̀ itori tani buburu yi ṣe wá sori wa. Bẹ̃ni nwọn ṣẹ keké, keké si mu Jona.

SÍSÁ KÚRÒ NÍWÁJÚ ỌLỌ́RUN ÀGBÁYÉ

Ọlọ́run tí a ń sìn ni Ó ni ayé. Ọlọ́run wà ní ibi gbogbo, ní ìgbà gbogbo lásìkò kan náà. Èyí kò jẹ́ titun sí wa àti pẹ̀lú fún Jónà wòlíì Ọlọ́run.

Ṣùgbọ́n ìbéèrè ni pé: Sé Jónà rò pé òun le sá kúrò lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run? A kò le yára sọ wí pé Jónà lérò pé ó seése fún òun láti sá kúrò níwájú Ọlọ́run. Kíni ó gbìyànjú rẹ̀ wò sí? Ìsubú ẹ̀dá ènìyàn! Bẹ́ẹ̀ni, ẹ̀dá ènìyàn tó subú ló mú u rò pé òun le sá kúrò níwájú Ọlọ́run.

Ní ọ̀pọ̀ ìgbà, àwa náà le rò pé a le sá fún àwọn iṣẹ́ Rẹ̀ tó ní fún wa. A tún máa ń rò pé a le tan Án jẹ. À ń tan ara wa jẹ ni nítorí Ó wà ní ìṣàkóso ohun gbogbo nínú ayé; Ó mọ ohun gbogbo, Ó sì ń darí ohun gbogbo!

Jónà rò pé òun le fi ara òun pamọ́. Jónà rò pé lílọ sí ìsàlẹ̣̀ le fi òun pamọ́ kúrò lójú Ọlọ́run. Jónà tún rò pé òun le pa ojú dé nínú oorun tí òun kò ní Ọlọ́run, ṣùgbọ́n irọ́ ni.

Oore-ọ̀fẹ́ ni a fún ènìyàn láti sin Ọlọ́run. Máṣe fojú kéré oore-ọ̀fẹ́ náà. Gbá oore-ọ̀fẹ́ náà mú nígbàtí o bá wà, kí o sì sin Ọlọ́run pẹ̀lú gbogbo agbára rẹ. Ǹjẹ́ ìwọ ti ń se àwáwí ìdí tí o kò fi gba ìpè Ọlọ́run bí?

ÌBÉÈRÈ:
